This review is from: Why Not Waste Time With God? (Paperback)
I can not say enough about this book and the spiritual treasures it contains! If you are looking to elevate your life and walk with God, this is just the book you need to read. Often in our spiritual journey we are looking for signs, words or images for God to speak to us; well the profound wisdom in this book will be just the sign you are looking for to enrich your faith life. I can truly attest that reading this book will NOT be a waste of your time and will introduce you to one of the most profound and meaningful ways on how to enter into the Father's presence.

I read this book and found it to be very helpful on my spiritual journey. The question the title proposes, says it all. The author's insights on the topic of spending quiet time have produced an abundance amount of fruit in my life, in ministry, and in my family relationships. When the author hit a a spiritual wall, a dry spot, he carved out a spot in his life and went to the river to speak and listen to the Father. The Father revived him there and told him to write this book so others could experience this relationship with Him. I found out that spending time with him is certainly not a waste of time. In fact, my personal discovery was that I am now more productive in ministry, family, and business, because of "Wasting time with God." This book is easy to read and flows quite beautifully. I'm sure it will transform your spiritual life, as it has mine.

The ideas we all have,
This review is from: Why Not Waste Time With God? (Paperback)
An insightful book that brings to light the ideas we have all had about religion but have not thought enough of. This read helped me better understand that you are with God, whether in church or out in the real world. Definitely not a waste of time. :)

Transforming,

This incredible book will help to transform you if you let it. By focusing in on the discipline of spending time with your loving Father without expecting anything in return, Evans highlights one of the foundational truths of the Christian walk. That we are loved. Not because of what we do or don't do. But just because we are God's kids. This book is like an oasis of refreshment in the desert of our busy and distracted culture. Highly recommended.

There are about 40 Christian books I've either read at least 5 times each already, over the past 10 years, because they are so incredible, or that I've read 2-3 times immediately upon finding them, cover to cover, that I'll probably read at least 5 times, in the coming years, Lord willing, again because they are so incredible.
This book doesn't fall into that category. My other reviews, including my review for Guyon's 'Autobiography', list some of the above terrific books, if helpful to other people. Ideally, I wish I could find lists of what other Christians have read at least 5 times each, rather than what people just read once, rave about, and then apparently never read cover to cover again, because the book didn't make a huge long-term lasting effect upon them. |
