This should be read by all in church leadership positions!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Why Some Christians Commit Adultery (Paperback)
This book should be required reading for any one in a church leadership position. Sanford deals with tough root issues that many people have but are not aware of. He connects how "broken places" in our lives, often from the past, are affecting our current daily lives in all aspects. He connects the dots for those who are seeking help for themselves to overcome besetting problems in this area. He gives clear explanation to those who are asking the "why" about someone they love who may have this problem. But this is no "poor me victim" book as Sanford holds accountable those who would not seek help. Yet he manages to deal with many difficult and unseemly topics with the compassion of a loving grandfather, not throwing the baby out with the bath water. The best part of this book is the road map he gives the christian in identifying behavior ahead of time that could become problematic. He gives clear examples of what christians should be doing and not doing in regards to personal relationships and communication with each other. Many will be surprised to see behavior mentioned which they may think is "harmless and even spiritual". If more people would read this book, I am convinced the problem of adultery would be greatly reduced. After reading this book you will be able to recognize "innocent" behavior which can lead to adultery and thereby "flag" it before it happens. This book could save you and those you love, much grief.

This review is from: Why Some Christians Commit Adultery (Paperback)
This excellent book may only be excelled by a possible sequel which would have more on cures. For a clear understanding of relationships between workers and between clergy and laity that get too close in the church, this book is unsurpassed...everything from understanding when communication is too intimate to accidental or innocent physical contact to adultery--all in easy to understand word pictures. Everything you need to know about this temptation progressing to sin.

This review is from: Why Some Christians Commit Adultery (Paperback)
While this book was purchased as a replacement for an earlier copy, it still stands as a unique yet necessary tool for Christian living. Designed for couples, this clearly-written volume has application for singles as well. A very useful guide for today's world.
