Passionate Anglicanism -- not an oxymoron!,

This review is from: Why I am Still an Anglican: Essays and Conversations (Paperback)
Being an Anglican in England is different than being an Episcopalian in the U.S. The Church of England is the national church and often seems like the religious arm of the English Heritage foundation, standing quietly in the background (along with the more interesting and flamboyant royal family) while everyone gets on with the business of "real life". But these essays from diverse contributors prove that "passionate Anglicanism" is not an oxymoron, even in England! A number of respected writers (John Stott, P.D. James, Rupert Sheldrake, Fay Weldon) are featured, along with many others from different walks of life. Reading these will make any Episcopalian more aware of and appreciative of their English heritage and of our Holy Church...not to mention that it will compel you to order a CD of Evensong by the King's College Choir of Cambridge immediately! Most highly recommended.
