Editorial Reviews

Review

“The facets explained in this book vibrate on an enlightened level of being and provide a practical way to apply the findings of my research: that the nature of our thoughts profoundly affects our experience of life. In Why Walk When You Can Fly? you will learn a simple system to go inward and begin to transform your perception from one based in fear to one based in love and unity in the present moment.”
— Masaru Emoto, author of The Hidden Messages in Water

“Shows us how to make the most important choice in our lives: to experience the love that is present in every moment.”
— Marci Shimoff, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Happy for No Reason

“Isha is making an important contribution through her work, bringing consciousness into many diverse communities.”
— Shakti Gawain, author of Creative Visualization

“There are rare occasions when someone sings the essence of life itself. Isha does this most beautifully and lyrically.”
— C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, coauthor of The Creation of Health

“This is an important, even essential book. We live in a time when millions are being called to spread their wings and fly, bringing into manifestation a world that reflects our highest dreams. The only barrier is fear, and Isha gives practical ways to release fear’s hold over our lives.”
— James F. Twyman, author of The Moses Code

“Isha teaches with warmth and creativity, sharing stories and anecdotes that help us know that we too can take this journey to our deep heart. Through her practices and suggestions, Isha gives us courage to live fully in this circle of love that is our lasting connection with our true selves.”
— Meredith L. Young-Sowers, DDiv, author of Spirit Heals and Agartha

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Amazing, November 22, 2008

This review is from: Why Walk When You Can Fly: Soar Beyond Your Fears and Love Yourself and Others Unconditionally (Paperback)
This small book hold the key to unconditional love and wisdom. This is an absolutely amazing book and anybody interested in inner growth must read it. It's a life changing book. Isha system described in this book is very simple to follow yet extremely powerful.

I've been reading Eckhart Tolle and Osho for quite some time, but its not easy to be in Here and Now. How to be in Here n Now? How to go away with self judgments? How can we be at ease with ourselves if we dont love ourselves. This book holds the key - Isha system. While practicing the Isha system awareness expands and being in here and now comes naturally. Only in couple of days I am able to see changes in my self. Sitting with myself was not very easy, now an hour just fly past. I can sense that experience of peace and joy spreading in my everyday life. I highly recommend it. Read it! Who knows it can be the turning point in your life :-)

With Love & Light,
-Vikas

5.0 out of 5 stars Focus in the Heart, January 5, 2009
This review is from: Why Walk When You Can Fly: Soar Beyond Your Fears and Love Yourself and Others Unconditionally (Paperback)
I had never heard of Isha when I received this book. However, I had heard of the authors endorsing her book - in particular Shakti Gawain and James Twyman. And I loved the title of the book, so was very excited to start reading it!

And I was pleased right from the start. Her whole system is based simply on unconditional love, and for this she gives you what she calls "facets" (which are basically affirmations) to repeat silently while focusing energy in different parts of the body.

Now I have to admit, I'm not the first to jump for joy when I see another meditation - nor do I care to hear I need to do it for an hour a day to get results. Though this is her suggestion, she also recommends breaking it up into three 20 minute meditations, and then repeating the facets throughout the day.

So, I never quite got myself to the full hour, yet I can say wholeheartedly that with that being the case, I still have noticed a change within myself just by spending a few moments in the morning with the facets, and repeating them throughout the day.

This book is so lovely and sweet because it really comes from the heart, and speaks to the heart. Isha talks about the importance of healing separation, and the benefits of removing our masks and living authentically.

I am SO very glad I read this book. I continue to repeat the facets, and know that I'll continue to grow. This book was very easy to read, easy to understand, and it was quick and to the point. Isha's writing style was charming and sweet, and the book delivers what it says - you just have to do the facets. I know, I know, sometimes we want to be lazy and grow spiritually and emotionally by just reading a book, but this type of growth does take action. The facets are simple, they just take some dedication. And any path worth traveling takes dedication.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Isha System is a simple, yet profound path of unconditional love, January 8, 2009
This review is from: Why Walk When You Can Fly: Soar Beyond Your Fears and Love Yourself and Others Unconditionally (Paperback)
The book, "Why Walk when you can fly" by Isha contains some very profound wisdom. The book contains the best explanation of Enlightenment I've ever read! Although the book may be slender, don't be fooled by the slimness. It is packed with incredibly powerful statements that will really get you moving in the direction of greater understanding, compassion and connection to yourself and others.

If you are open to a path of expanding your consciousness this book will certainly give you the tools to begin. If you've been struggling along your path this book may be of great value to you.

Much success to you along your path of discovery,
Barbara Bourgette
