This review is from: Why Your Credit Sucks...: and What YOU Can Do About It! (Paperback)
This was a very good book in explaining how credit scores and data affect your credit history and reports. The author also gave very understandable suggestions to repair your credit and how to navigate through tough times. I recommended this book to all of my friends. It is a short read with lots of good information. Also bought this book for my son who is in his 20's.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great gift for graduates!, January 8, 2012
This review is from: Why Your Credit Sucks...: and What YOU Can Do About It! (Paperback)
They should teach this stuff in school, but since they don't this is a great gift for young people and for those who have already made mistakes. The author explains how to fix your credit and makes it easy to understand how the scoring system works. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very effective book of knowledge, November 4, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Why Your Credit Sucks...: and What YOU Can Do About It! (Paperback)
It's not enough to know your stuff in the world of credit, although the author does. This technical material needs to be conveyed to us in a way that's understandable. In 'Why Your Credit Sucks' it's done in that manner & you are also told how to take action. Knowledge without action is pretty useless. It's evident that Karen Allmon has seen this from her experience in the mortgage world. So, she tells us what to do if it's bad, what not to do (to make it worse) and how to regularly maintain your good standing. I thought that my credit 'IQ' was pretty good, but was surprised to learn about the 'reason' codes attached to each score. These codes can be a sign of errors in the report itself, damaging your score. That's good to know as my reports have had errors. All in all, this book was easy to understand, informative and directs you to take action. Two thumbs up!
