I know this has been sitting for a while, but my husband's job relocated to a different state a few years ago. When his back could no longer handle the pressure of driving 3 hours each way 5 days a week, we decided to move so he could be closer to his work. Around that time, I was offered an early retirement package and after 18 years of service, I accepted so I would have 'something' while me moved. Part of the package was partial payment of college or vocational school fees for the first two years. I had attended college when I graduated from high school and always wanted to go back but was afraid to fail again. I'm now in my 40's and my kids are older. The community college is only about three miles away. I was able to transfer some of those ancient credits. Now I'm starting over, figuring out what I want to do during this next chapter of my life.
