I know I haven't read this book, but I know this story.
But from where?

Living Dead 2. The first 100 pages are basically that story minus the final act.

I saw this story with the same characters written by the same author as the short story "Family Business" in (The New Dead) anthology. It's weird that the main blurb of the book in the description doesn't mention this. I thought I was going nuts. :D
