B. S. Barker says:
This is missing the Final Crisis segments of DC Universe #0 and the two Batman Last Rites tie in issues, all written by Morrison. It wasn't collected in the trade. You'd think DC would collect the full story as intended when the book is called "absolute" Final Crisis and not just reprint the trade onto bigger paper.

These collections are getting lazy.

I agree with your sentiments completely.

Yup! Correct in all accounts.

Absolute Green Lantern: Rebirth ==> Same content as the paperback
Absolute Identity Crisis ==> Same content as the paperback
Absolute Final Crisis ==> Same content as the paperback
Absolute Dark Victory ==> Same content as the paperback
Absolute Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War ==> Same content as the paperback
Absolute Batman & Robin: Batman reborn: ==> Same content as the paperbacks

Besides the big size of the book there's no incentives to buy this.

Have you notice this collection was movied from July to November? Could it be DC Comics is moving it so they can include the iccues mentioned above?

I'm saying this because (here on Amazon) the page count went from 400 to 464. It might be a mistake, but... I want to believe DC is making something right.

Awesome, I'll probably get it now. The content is now closer to what they're charging for it.

NOW that is a tempting Absolute. As far as the new extras go, the seven new story pages by Morrison and Mahnke alone get me excited!!! Would like to see the Amazon discount price come down a little bit more but this is awesome!

This new material is fantastic. I would prefer if all of it was redrawn by JG Jones though... :[

I love it head to toes. Both, Last Rites and the 7 new pages got me all excited.

Can't wait!!!!

The wait is killer! I already got super delayed by Flex Mentallo!

Yeah, the wait is messing with me too, but is worthy

Dylan D says:
I'm really excited for this but I'm curious, in what order are these kinds of trades (absolute or not) typically collected?
Like, am I going to be reading it all in proper order or would they place Batman 682-683 after FC #7 in the book?

Posted on Jul 26, 2012 6:28:21 AM PDT
Well, Infinite Crisis Omnibus have every single story collected in chronological order, so maybe this will be the same.

Posted on Aug 10, 2012 12:37:31 PM PDT
I know this is all the Morrison material, but it would have been nice if they could have thrown in the other two one-shots, REQUIEM and RESIST.

Posted on Aug 11, 2012 11:27:06 AM PDT
I would have like Requiem. That was the only way to feel something about the death scene at the begining.

Still happy with the new content though.
