5.0 out of 5 stars So much fun
People for some reason don't know what this is. Personally, it makes me happy because they don't and I do. I love this shirt. The batteries are a little annoying but you can just wear another shirt under it (or a bra) and you won't even notice them.I bought one for my boyfriend, and he loves it. After all, who wants to go through the annoying process of turning on a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice outside, but may not always be
It certainly looks nice, but the fabric screen on the surface of the shirt looks very obvious that its just an attachment onto the shirt. Hence, wearing it makes me look weird as the edge of the fabric screen protrudes out of my body. The comfort level is too compromised.
I will only recommend this for die-hard WiFi geek who wouldn't mind the discomfort of wearing a...

I will only recommend this for die-hard WiFi geek who wouldn't mind the discomfort of wearing a T-Shirt for the extra feature.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Idea.......Bad Quality, September 24, 2010

I had my eye on this shirt for a long time, so I was very happy to show it off when I got it. I wore it for all of 3 hours at work (just sitting in a chair more or less) before it just stopped working for no reason.

I am hoping ThinkGeek will give me a refund for this.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worked great....once, February 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The shirt came just like described and looked nice. It worked well and was fun to find the high and low wi fi spots. But the second time the shirt was worn it broke. All the washing instructions were followed. Pretty disappointing for twenty bucks. I love ThinkGeek's stuff but the design could definitely be better. I'm hoping ThinkGeek will issue refund or new shirt.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome gift for geeks, October 22, 2009
This review is from: Wi-Fi Detector Shirt by ThinkGeek (Apparel)
Others have already noted most of the obvious things, but one thing to note is that the corners of the panel can be really sharp. Crossing your arms or leaning forward can scrape your arms up a bit. I took some scissors and trimmed the corners into a rounded edge and that helps much, but IMO the velco on the shirt should be bigger to to hold more of the panel on instead of just the center.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks cool, but only on photos, January 7, 2010

This is an excellent idea, poorly done. As somebody already stated, there's a square patch of plastic/ruber material with very sharp edges and vearing this shirt can cause certain discomfort. Looking at the photos, all looks niec and smooth, but in truth, reality is different. I bought two of these and I ended up giving them both away.

Kinda dissapointing.

I think this is the 'must have' gift for any techy/geeky person out there. The wifi meter on it definately seems sensitive enough and you can remove the meter so you can wash the shirt which is pretty nice.

Overall I think its a really cool 'current event' kind of thing especially for the computer person you never know what to buy for.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fail to update., October 27, 2011

This shirt is really disappointing, you see the image advertised, and it looks great, however the reality is far from that. The device is kinda cool, and it must have been an awesome when this shirt was first launched like 5 years ago, but now this is just obsolete.

I think at least the battery system could be improved, and also the integration of the device with the shirt. Instead of being just a board sitting on top o a piece of velcro, this could be in some sort of window cut on the shirt or something.

And finally the quality of the shirt is awful, it looks really cheap.

Overall, this item was a major disappointment. I wanted it so bad and when I finally got it, well, I just regretted I didn't buy something else.

3.0 out of 5 stars wi fi shirt, April 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I gave it away b/c I was pretty disappointed with it. I didn't want to wear it. The Wi-fi part is a sort of velcro attached piece of plastic. And I had to attach batteries. Mistakenly, I had thought it was totally self contained (i.e. the sensors in the fabric and the source of energy in the fabric). So it was too clunky for me. OK, ...but not what I wanted.
