5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, September 1, 2001
By
Delaney (Oklahoma, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Wiccan Book Of Ceremonies And Rituals (Paperback)
I bought this book when I was still a beginner. I found it as good then as I find it now. When I decided to write my own Book of Shadows, I used this book as an outline when I wote my own Sabbat and Esbat Rituals. I espically like her addition at the end of each Rite where she tells of the traditions that she does. As a Solitary, I found it to be nice to know what others do. I even 'borrowed' a few of her traditions!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Invaluble Book for Solataries, August 29, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wiccan Book Of Ceremonies And Rituals (Paperback)
The first chapter of this book worried me. It was full of the most basic information that any Pagan would already know. But the rest of the book did not follow suite with its opening.I don't know how many books that i have read that contain sabbat rituals that are written for groups but "could easilly be adapted for solitaries"--and none of them have lived up to that claim. the rituals lose all meaning and cohesion when not performed by a group. so i am happy to report that this book contains solatary rituals for every sabbat--a rare find (the exception being edain mccoys wonderful "sabbats" which contain full rituals for both solataries and groups)--the book also contains group rituals for imbolg and samhain in addition to the solatary ones (but i guess all the rituals could be adapted for groups--hee hee)the rest of the book contains both solatary rituals and group rituals. but the group rituals are not nessaryilly for covens or even circles. they seem to be partner, family, and friends oriented.i really loved this book and will use it often. the authors voice is practical and free of self importance--she is very likable.following is the table of contents:AcknowledgmentsIntroductionPart I: Ritual in Review1. This review is from: The Wiccan Book Of Ceremonies And Rituals (Paperback)
As a legal wiccan minister I use this book so much i soon have to purchase a new copy. This book has helped me eclectically write my own rituals. Its a wonderful book to use for ritals and ceremonies or just for referance. I recommend this book to all serious witches! YOU ARE NOT WASTING YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK!
