5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down! Another cliff-hanger ending! September 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series has been incredible from book 1! There is non-stop action throughout and it's got tension-filled romance as well. Usually when there is a love triangle, I choose a side and stay there, but with this series I can't decide whose team I'm on. One book, it's hands down team Gage. Then in the next book I'm feeling bad for Logan. Now, even Marshall is growing on me!! Not to mention the suspense, which is KILLING me! I know the author has more books planned for this series, so I knew there would still be unanswered questions at the end. Addison Moore is not only an amazing author, but she's fast, which I think is probably one of the best things about her! She totally leaves you hanging at the end of each book, but she doesn't make you wait so long for the next one that you lose interest in the series or forget about everything you've read! The entire time I'm reading I'm thinking, How does she come up with this stuff??!! Oh, and a little tip for readers who are unfamiliar with this series... block out a lot of time before you start reading b/c you won't be able to put it down. I literally fell asleep with my Kinlde in hand sometime around 4 am. Woke up around noon, wiped the sleep from my eyes, grabbed my Kindle, and here I am. Can't wait for book 5!

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars November 27, 2011

I'm going to have to agree with some others that this is not the best book in the series. It seemed like the main point to this one was to establish Gage and Skyla's feelings for each other. Which is fine, because there's always all kinds of crazy going on that Skyla has to deal with, and we need equal portions of relationship/character development with the crazy. My biggest problem is that there have not been many real conversations between Gage and Skyla, BUT I have to remember that I'm 30 and Skyla is 17; thus, I no longer have raging teenage hormones.

However, that is not the only plot in Wicked. A couple new characters are introduced and we do find out some new things. Yes, there are lots of questions that are still unanswered. Yes, there was a heck of a cliffhanger ending. This is a series folks, so those things are inevitable. We wouldn't look forward to the next book so much if everything was tied up nice and neat at the end of each book.

I don't think that the violence in the book is only filler as someone said. There are wars being waged. How unbelievable would it be if everyone/everything just left Skyla alone until the battle comes?

Oh, and I laughed hysterically at the Skyla hallucination chapter!

Before you rule out reading these books based on some of the bad reviews, know that a good many of the things people have complained about are not exactly true. Not to say those people are lying, but some have gotten the facts of the story a bit confused. I'm fine with the fact that some people will not like this story, everyone has their own opinion. I've just noticed that some of the reviews were a little misleading.

Wicked is not as fast paced or as bone chilling as the rest of the series, but it is still a good book. The author has said that many questions will be answered in the next book, Vex, and that Gage will be bolder as well. So, November 30th, I'm counting down the days!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed October 11, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Loved the other books however this one seemed a bit flat and filled with teenage angst. It wasn't a pleasure to read instead it switched from being depressing to infuriating. To me, the story, rather than being interesting was pointless and didn't go anywhere.

This one made me go back and re-read the first three books only because it had me questioning things I thought I knew! Addison is so unpredictable in her writing. Very refreshing! I never know what to expect! makes me wish I was a part of their world! Loved it Addison! Can't wait for Vex!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Celestra Adict November 2, 2011

I love this series, and this book did not let me down.

Chloe is back. And she seems more like a demon than an angel. No, I'm not kidding. I HATE CHLOE! Her character is so mean... And I'm still mad at Gage, after this book I'm kind of team Logan! LOL, but this might change back next book! ;)

I love this story, it's so creative, so fun and very addictive. I can't wait for book 5, because I'm dying to find out what happens.

And I know Logan will rescue Skyla. SOMEHOW. I have absolute faith.

5.0 out of 5 stars She did it again!!! November 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm liking the Chloe thing. I also saw the typos, but this is an indie author who has the ability to be raw without censoring to New York editors. I will respect that. I've said it before, this series reminds me of Fairytale Farms. (If you haven't read that book you're missing out! I can't wait for book two Fairytale Farms (Facing Fears) to come out.) Addison has made her mark in the e-world. Can't wait to read book five!

WICKED (Celestra #4) by Addison Moore

WICKED is the 4th instalment in Addison Moore's Celestra series. Now that Skyla Messenger has meddled in the lives of every one including the recently deceased, the past continues to haunt her--every step of the way. On that note-the pace is fast: there is NO lull in the adventures: and my anxiety level is beyond my grasp.

Thanks to her own stupidity, Skyla must now face the ramifications of her actions. Thinking she was doing a `friend' a favor, Skyla's angel-blood has infused a resurrected Chloe from the dead, but now she must face the consequences. Chloe is beyond pissed. All the secrets that Skyla and Chloe have shared through the Light Travel have come back with a vengeance. Sklya is now targeted by a much stronger and newly-alive Chloe. Revenge is a bitch and her name is Chloe. Chloe will stop at nothing to rid the world of Skyla Messenger.

Logan Oliver continues to profess his love for Skyla, but trust is a major issue. Knowing that he was keeping secrets and only revealing on a `need to know basis', Skyla withdraws deep into herself to hide her feelings for Logan Oliver. Now that Skyla is aware that most of the population (including her immediate family) of Paragon Island is somehow connected by blood to the Countenance, it is now necessary to be mindful of everyone. But Skyla refuses to heed the warning from both Logan and Gage, and continues to seek answers to her questions-without thinking ahead. Death and destruction follow Skyla wherever she goes. But it is the betrayal by the one who professes an enduring love-that will send Skyla over the edge.

Gage Oliver, who also professes his love for Skyla, has secrets as well.
