I ordered some of these last year for Christmas when the Tortuga rum cakes were going to take too long to ship. I'm glad I did! I received some of the Tortuga cakes and found them to be bland and dry compared to the Wicked Jacks, which were more flavorful, FAR more moist and had a lot more rum overtone without being overpowering (though some might find it a bit much). And seeing these on sale, well for me it's a no-brainer. I haven't tried the "regular" Wicked Jack's rum cakes, just the chocolate but as I tell my clients "if it ain't broke - don't break it!'

The Wicked Jack's Tavern Rum cake (Chocolate) was purchased for a holiday party. I'm so glad I purchased this cake, I tried the Tortuga cake but it has an awful aftertaste. Normally I would buy the Bacardi rum cakes, but the shipping costs from Jamaica and the price of the cakes was easily over $100.00. The taste of Wicked Jack is comparable to Bacardi for a fragment of the cost. I will definitely purchase again.
