4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, Dunaway rocks!
Dunaway made this one when she was living in England raising her son and still married to Terry O'Neill. I love it! She looks great, she's in most of the scenes, nice costumes, and a fairly good plot and dialog. Wicked she is, she eats it up. This isn't Oscar material, and the cast knows it, it's just a lot of fun. This isn't one of Dunaway's Top 5, but it's totally...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good costumes, overacting, big stars getting a payday .
The highlight of this film is a fight scene between Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi of Star Trek) and Faye Dunaway. Ms. Sirtis is topless throughout the scene. If you want to get the video for this reason then you will be happy. Otherwise forget it. Faye Dunaway puts in an acting performance, that if the movie was supposed to be funny, would be hilarious. Instead she just looks foolish. The costumes and scenery are quite lavish and besides Ms. Dunaway you will recognize the other actors. I think the producers were aiming high and probably spent a lot of money. The film just lacks umph.

I would not rate it quite as good as Eyes of Laura Mars or even Supergirl, but it's better than The Temp and The Chamber. If you don't dig Dunaway, you probably will only want to see it once. Otherwise, it's something you would want for your extended Dunaway collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wicked acting! But a good story., June 12, 2003

Faye (overacting) Dunaway stars as Lady Skelton...a rich woman who must have something that someone else has...Money, a woman's fiancee'. She later turns into a robber on horseback to gain more wealth & meets Jackson...another robber & falls in love with him. She later betrays him when she finds him in bed with another woman (Marina Sirtis) Highlight of the film is the catfight between Sirtis & Dunaway WITH WHIPS! (whoa!) I must add there's a lot of "naughty cheesecake" displayed with some "very interesting" bedroom scenes. (Hence the "R" rating.)

4.0 out of 5 stars very enjoyable, July 30, 2010
This review is from: Wicked Lady [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie was intended to be tongue in cheek and not to be taken seriously. A lavish production with a good cast and Dunaway looks radiant. An interesting storyline keeps the action flowing in this highway robbery costume film. Too bad it`s not on DVD.

PLEASE SELL ON DVD> this film is only availbale in VHS
I simply LOVE this film. The Wicked Lady is another Dunaway film that gets better as time goes by. Filled with romance, sex, camp, over the top acting, badly shot scenes, however in this there is a fun, action packed story line. British humor is found throughout the film. Truly excellent film worth watching over and over again.

The best thing about this film is the soundtrack, written by Tony Banks (Genesis). Otherwise it is a dated bawdy romp.
