Probably my favorite album in this genre..., December 3, 2007
...and possibly period. As a lover of all types of music (Aesop Rock to Zeppelin), I can't recommend this album enough. I've had various CP/Crazy Penis/Crazy P records on both vinyl and CD for several years now, including this one, and I must say that they are my favorite producers of modern music. Their style is a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks that combine elements of dance, electronic, jazz, funk, downtempo and a hint of disco. It's excellent music that is both suited to getting warmed up for a night out, and for playing in the background for a dinner party. Either way, people will usually ask "who is this?". All of their albums are excellent, but this one is a good starting point. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Funny name, great band!, October 1, 2004
Chris Todd and James Baron are the founding members of this Manchester-based band. They emerged from the Nottingham music scene as prominent deep house DJs; as they got more into music production, they were signed to Paper Music, the Manchester based label, and gained popularity from there. This is their second album, and probably my favorite though I recommend any of their 3 albums without reservation. DJs at heart, their first album "A Nice Hot Bath With...", has more of an electronic feel, but as they added members and began touring as a band this, and their third album "24 Hour Psychedelic Party", have a much more organic feel with real instruments intertwined with samples/synths. Their sound is a blend of Disco, Happy House, Electronica, Lounge, Soul - very nice. Crazy Penis has a talent for making even the most heavily synthesized songs sound human and organic. Wonderful groovy non-abrasive tunes you can listen to all day. (...)

Crazy Name But Great Album, February 27, 2003
Fantastic upbeat lounge album. Very easy to get into. I have to say I had some reservations about the name. Coming home and saying to my girlfriend, "Hey look at this album I got by Crazy Penis", but as the album title suggest the nusic is wicked. I have had the album for four days and I have listened to it constantly, back to back, for that entire time! Track 2 "You started something" is a particular favourite and I love the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sample on Track 1 "There's a better place". All the tracks are a between 6 and 7 minutes making them un-radio-friendly but great for getting into the groove.
