This S-F review, which thankfully includes the word "Pulp" in its title, reminds us of the time when virtually all forms of literary art, from the plebian to the elevated, were released in serial/chapter form. Like Shakespeare, early S-F did not pretend to be the be all and end all of literature. It aimed to please, and that is a very good thing.

When I started reading this book, I realizedd that at least one of them were made into a movie not too long ago. The movie was great and so was the story. All the stories are worth reading.

The title says it all. I already owned and have read most of these short stories in other anthologies. Although the tales are good, it was a shame to waste the time and money on repeats. A list of the index of stories and authors on the offering page would be helpful.

I enjoyed these stories from the past. Clifford D. Simak is one of my all time favorite authors and I first read his story, very creative. I also read the others and enjoyed them too. I thought this collection was well worth $1.

This is an excellent collection of 1950's pulp. There were as there always are in these collections a few I had read before, but it was nice to revisit them, especial in the context of all the rest. It's well worth reading after all 1954 was a great year ( yes I'm that old).

If you like the old time Sci Fi this is for you. I enjoy the sort story aspect, rather than getting tied down to one long long long book. Easy to sit down and devour a story when time permits. Lots of different writing styles and ideas.

A bit short but reminds me of how good science fiction can be without sex or violence. Excellent writing and plotting

I'm a big fan of 50s sci-fi and horror movies and these stories fit well into that mold. Intelligently written also. I've read some reviews from people nit-picking over trivial things like no table of contents and that the stories are grouped together. They're complete and cost a dollar. These so called inconveniences do not detract at all from the enjoyment of the stories. If you're interested,I highly recommend it.
