I really hope Fabio Bueno is a fast writer because I want to read more from him!
I honestly could not put this book down and found myself up reading into the wee hours of the morning.
I really like it when an author tells you at the beginning of a chapter who is speaking and narrating it. Fabio does just that in the title of each chapter so there is no guessing. He gave each character depth and personality, so you really got to know them and cheer them on. In Jane's case you want to push her bike over! Drake is so sweet and such a wonderful young man, if I had a daughter......ok enough being a match making mom. Skye is strong and resourceful and just a sweetheart. Boulder, Chase and Priscilla are great side characters and add so much to the story. I still am not sure how I feel about Connor, you will have to read the book and tell me what you think of him, man slut with entitlement issues comes to mind. Fabio has provided a complete and complex cast of character for us to enjoy.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of explanation in Drakes mom leaving the family. I have a sneaking suspicion that she may come into play in the next book and there will be a really good reason she left. Perhaps Fabio and give us some tidbits from the next book to ease our minds *grin* hint hint.
This was such a new and unique view on witches and magic. The world building around the covens and the school scene was amazing. I really felt like I was there in the story and I love a read that can get me this involved.
I recommend this book to all YA readers' young and old, you will love this one!

Like a slow brewing, potion of goodness, "Wicked Sense" is a magical concoction of emotion, turmoil, mystery and love that warmed my heart. Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the book for me was how the author managed to have the characters began timid and reserved and then slowly unleashed their personalities and power, as they pulled me into their lives. I grinned, was heart-broken, gasped and laughed out loud as they peeled off layer and layer of mood and depth. What was most impressive to me was how the author managed to capture sweet romance, love and lust in the both the male and female teenage voice...a task not always easily achieved. By alternating between the lead female (Skye) and male (Drake) protagonist's point of view, the reader gets an exceptional look into the lives, moods and thoughts of these characters. The author not only created believable, root-worthy characters, but he managed to wrap them in a tale of love, suspense and mysticism in modern day times, while carefully balancing the unbelievable with the believable. If you didn't believe in magic before, you will after you read this book. I am anxiously awaiting the second book! Excellent, fast-paced read for young adults and adults.

I absolutely adored this book! Wicked Sense centers around Skye and her quest to find the Singularity...that's the official plot...the book, however, is so, so much more. For starters, it's told both in the POV of Skye and her love interest, Drake. Since the majority of the books most females read are told through the POV of the girl, I found this very refreshing to walk in the mind of a teenaged boy. Girls are going to love this...especially when they see that a teenaged boy's thoughts are very much like theirs. And Fabio Bueno painted such a vivid picture of a Drake that you couldn't help but fall in love with him. I was beyond excited when I saw this was book one in a series...I'm chomping at the bit for the next one because all hell is going to break loose!
