Though this is in a different series than The Vampire Wardens, but it's in the same world and connected. We met the hero and heroine in the last novella in that series. Nico and Aylia are former lovers who ended their relationship a year ago. Aylia was heartbroken, and still loves Nico despite him turning his back on her. I don't want to give away any of the story, but Nico is a sexy, stubborn alpha werewolf and Aylia is a cursed, feisty witch. Love sometimes isn't enough in their dangerous world, and this is a story of their passion, their misunderstandings and possibly their happy ending. Wicked Werewolf Night is steamy, fast paced read with passionate sex scenes and kick ass action.

I am always looking for a new paranormal series. I thought I had hit the jackpot by finding a Book 1 of a new series for free, I was disappointed to find that this isn't really a Book 1. As book one of a series it should have had more of an introduction into the author's universe especially as in this universe you have witches, vampires, werewolves and others. However, the blurb also says "A series connected to THE VAMPIRE WARDENS", so I should have understood that in a 52 page story meant for an anthology might not describe too much.

While the writing was good and the story tight, I was still left with the feeling that I was reading an excerpt instead of a complete story. Due to the couple's back story so many extra characters needed to be included in this short. For that reason, I don't believe this short can be considered a stand alone or even a separate series from "The Vampire Wardens"

Even though, from the opening scene and sprinkled throughout the short enough of the back story is discussed that Aylia and Nico felt like a couple with a strong bond and history and not just a hook up, I felt thier reconnection was a bit fast and rushed. The sex scenes did not give me that zing as for me it read more like insert tab A into slot B as the writing concentrated on more of what they were doing instead of what they were feeling.

The opening scene which must be a portion of one of "The Vampire Warden" series is intriguing but I would have to read that series to find out what happened to some of the combatants.

A true short story should be able to stand alone and answer any questions that come up in the story, this was more of a teaser. The ending left more question which I am quite sure leads to another series.

In conclusion, if you have read the other series I think you would have a wonderful read and probably mark this as a five star story. However, if you haven't read "The Vampire Wardens --The Collection", I would advise you to hold off from reading this until you do. (If the author writes the other series as well as she did this you will probably enjoy it greatly)

I read the Warden books before Wicked Werewolf Night, and it certainly helped with my "reading flow" or background of this book. I love the paranormal feel with the mystery addition. Werewolf novels are my weakness and rogue werewolves are even better. The sexy combo/chemistry of the lead couple sizzled and I enjoyed the author's original spontaneity and storyline.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Nico is the Alpha of his pack, called The Royal Guard. Though Aylia, is a witch, Nico, wants her and is unable to forgive himself on what took place a year ago with, Aylia. Now that he has her were he wants her, they're now face with a power that Aylia, possess. This power is a blessing and a curse that Nico, has to protect. If this power is no longer in existence or is taken away, it could destroy, Aylia.

THOUGHTS

Wow, every page kept getting better. My quote from my last review within the vampire warden series of 'Hot Vampire Touch', "Nico is Alpha and an appetizer to what I predict to be another great series by the author; and judging by the epilogue, I can't wait" This story was what I thought it would be, and more, deliciously good. With 'The Vampire Warden' series I felt like I was in vampire heaven. With the 'Werewolf Society' series, it's raining werewolves.

Nico is the alpha male that most readers love to read about. He has Alpha werewolf tendencies that are possessive and sexy, along with oozing dominance around him. Also, what a way to close out this year, with a new series and Nico's story. Aylia was a witch, though powerful in what she does, you sense her vulnerability, especially around Nico. However, once these two came together, their chemistry physically was unbelievable, along with the plot of the story line that will take place throughout the series.

Though this is a start to a new novella series, and depending on the reader, this book probably wouldn't be a stand alone. The reader is thrust into a bit of action within the first few chapters with familiar faces from 'The Vampire Warden' series. So, I would recommend reading all three books within the series or the last book, 'Hot Vampire Touch' first. We also got to meet Nico's second and third Alphas in command, Kole and Jackson. They sound interesting and you can look forward to their story.

4 out of 5 stars! Nico & Aylia are a vibrant duo that made me wish this was a longer story so I could just keep reading about them!!! This being the first time I've read anything from this author, didn't deter me from thoroughly enjoying this novel!

About the Characters:
* Nico: Leader of The Werewolf Society's elite Royal Guard. A 200+ year old alpha werewolf who is set in his ways but plans to shake up his society by mating Aylia, tradition be damned.

* Aylia: Is a witch. Owns a powerful necklace that she needs to keep on her because by the time her next birthday arrives if it's not on her at all times she will die. Still loves Nico after everything they've been through.

* Marcus: A vampire, who is very protective of Aylia and treats her like a sister. Ariel's twin brother.

* Kole: A playboy werewolf. Nico's best friend and his second-in-command.

* Ariel: A Benedanti. Marcus' twin brother.

If you are unfamiliar with the author's Werewolf Society Series or Vampire Wardens Series then you'll want to read them afterwards since this novel really pulls you into their world. It's a very intriguing read. However, I wish it didn't just drop off and stop the way it does...I wish there was MORE to read about Nico and Aylia. So, I hope they'll have secondary parts throughout these series'.

I recommend it to everyone who loves to read a HOT romance that is wrapped within a paranormal world!!

I loved the Vampire Warden series, but the Werewolf Society has me drooling. The men are hot and the sexual heat is pure animal passion. What do you get when you put a scorned witch who has to wear a amulet to live and a alpha werewolf who had to pretend he didn't love her to save her life from a rogue? A heck of a lot of danger, suspense, passion, and romance. This is the it book for me. I loved and want more. Lisa Renee Jones can tell a story and set you in a world of paranormal like nobody's business. A five star read... gua-rant-eed.

Wicked Werewolf is a great story worth 4 out of 5 stars. I couldn't give it 5 stars for a couple of reasons. 1. If you've never read any of the Vampire Wardens series, you are going to feel "left out of the loop". There is a lot of history mentioned that is in the VW stories. And 2. It can be hard to follow the flow of the story when you have to stop and mentally edit it. The story really needs to be re-edited.
However, the story was entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed Nico and Aylia's relationship. If all shifters are that hot and passionate, then sign me up! Now I have to go back and re-read the Vampire Wardens books again. And get ready for the Werewolf Society Series.

Wow! Just when you think Lisa Renee Jones couldn't surprise you anymore with her phenomenal writing, she comes back headstrong with this winner! 'Wicked Werewolf Night' was an absolutely fantastic read & a great start to the 'Werewolf Society' series. Having finished 'The Vampire Wardens' series, I couldn't wait to read about Nico & Aylia's story in 'Wicked Werewolf Night.' This novella did not disappoint! Ms. Jones captured my attention from the very beginning with this story. Ms. Jones constructed an engaging story with well-developed characters and a fascinating world of vampires, witches, werewolves, & perhaps warlocks? This story was fast-paced, action-packed, emotional & sexy! I loved the chemistry & relationship between Nico & Aylia. Nico is definitely a hot & oh so sexy alpha male. He knows what he wants & does not let anything get between him & his love for Aylia. Aylia is a likable & strong, yet vulnerable heroine. You can't help, but sympathize with her throughout the story. She was hurt by Nico in the past, but for reasons you have to read to find out! Throughout the story you can't help, but root for these two lovers & their HEA.

*********************
"Two hundred years and I have never mated, Aylia, and you know why? Because you were the one I was waiting on. You are my mate, I don't give a damn what the biology of it is." He pressed her hand to his heart. "You are my heart."

*********************

Wicked Werewolf Night was definitely an enjoyable read. Therefore, I highly recommend this for those looking for a sexy, fast, & entertaining story. With that being said, I can't wait to read the rest of the 'Werewolf Society' series starring Kole (Book 2) & Jackson (Book 3)! Give this novella a try if you want an escape into the sexy & exciting world of Ms. Lisa Renee Jones' phenomenal writing.

You meet Nico and Aylia in the previous Vampire Warden series.

This novella held its own against the 3 Vampire Warden novella's

I was so glad Lisa Renee Jones continued with this wonderful world she created.

Nico, a headstrong alpha wolf who wants to be in control of everything including Aylia.

Aylia, a beautiful witch. Not realizing it but soon knows that her life will be forever changed.

The passion and emotion was very hot between the 2 of them.

Nico and Aylia's story was awesome. This book brings us farther into the world of vampires, were wolves and witches. Making you want to read more and more.

I suggest reading the first 3 vampire warden novella's if you want to get the best out of this novella.

This was a fantastic read and I'm looking forward to the next one.
