I love Murmur. When he was first introduced by Nina Bangs I got the impression of him being a playboy Demon. If there is such a thing. But with his own story being told and going into more details of how he came to be and why he is the way he is makes him so much more.
Pairing him up with Ivy was sheer brillance. She was the right balance of bravery and take no sh&t kind of female.

I adore the Castle of Dark Dreams. There is always interesting mayhem, hunky tortured heroes in need of saving and a couple of Cosmic Troublemakers to keep the stories from taking themselves too seriously. Ms. Bangs does serve up a satisfying assortment of drama, suspense, double-cross and general spookiness but it's balanced with a delightful sense of quirkiness, naughty and sometimes suggestive humor or outright knee slapping hilarity. Every book has a troublemaker and every tale has a romance but other than that, they always seem to surprise me with the author's creative imagination. Each novel is unique and Wicked Whispers carries on that fine storytelling tradition.

Murmur's signature T.V. game show should be Name that Tune - win and die. He's a demon and his music kills. He doesn't sound like the ideal candidate for a hero, does he. Let me assure you, he's perfect. He has feelings that are new to him because he's been topside on Earth too long. It was fun watching him see-saw between wanting to feel, not wanting, interested in what they mean and afraid of what they might mean. The poor guy was all over the place until one fateful night he got more `feelings' then he was prepared to handle. He met Ivy. She drove him nuts and yet she intrigued him. He thought it was bad before but with Ivy on the scene, emotions and urges bombarded him and the results were often sweet, sometimes smoking hot and other moments were just plain funny. How could I not like him?

Ivy was a terrific heroine. She has family and is loyal. She has a great work ethic and experiencing weirdness, like having a spiderfest, didn't seem to faze her at all. Then again, when a reader finds out about her family history, I suppose that explains a lot.

I loved this book, Nina Bangs is one of my favorite authors and I have read all of her books more than once. If you want romance and all types of paranormal creatures dontiss a single one of her books. They have romance steamy love scenes laughter as well as bad guys to overcome and defeat. Love all of them and you will too.

Format: Paperback
In Wicked Whispers, Nina Bangs reintroduces us to the Castle of Dark Dreams, an adult theme park and its sinfully wicked cast of supernatural characters.

Ivy Lowe wants a normal life, but she unknowingly takes a job at a hotel run by cosmic troublemakers, vampires, and demons.

She meets a mysterious stranger on the beach. Murmur, the demon of music, draws her into a sensuous dance that should be her death. Ivy frees herself from his grasp temporarily, but his sensual lips, the heat of his touch, and the passion in his eyes draw her back to him.

Their romance ensnares them in a supernatural war that pits them against unworldly creatures and Murmur's own Master of the Underworld. Murmur risks losing his freedom and beloved music for Ivy and Ivy must chose to stay and fight for Murmur or run back to the safety of a normal life.

I loved the way Nina Bangs cleverly woven the internal conflict of both Ivy and Murmur. I fell in love with the sexy demon and his courageous heroine. Her secondary characters felt like old friends and you literally walk in the main characters' shoes. I truly couldn't put the book down.

This is the sixth book in the series and even though I've only read two, I didn't have any trouble starting in the middle of this series.

If you're looking for sensuality, passion and yes, characters with an abundance of sex appeal you've found the right book.

I have to say that Wicked Whispers is my favorite Nina Bangs book. But of course I'll say that about each new release because Ms. Bangs seem to only get better and better!

well the first time I picked up a book by Ms. Bangs, I started reading about Sparkle Stardust and Ganymede, and I thought this was really strange and wierd, so I put it back down, not interested. A few months later I picked it back up and have been hooked ever since!
But I am beginning to think that maybe Ms. Bangs needs to take a year off or something?
the past 2 books (Wicked Edge and Wicked Whispers) are not up to par with her other books?
I would have liked more interaction between the two main characters in both books.
and what-ever happened to the fantasies that play out between the characters?
they are lacking in these past two books?
and did she not have an editor?
In one part of this one, Asima goes to a concert with Braeden and Murmur and Ivey,
and she is described as having long, almost white ice, blond hair,and blue eyes;
towards the back of the book she is described as having long dark almost black hair and dark eyes.
No-where in the book does it say she can change her appearance at will.
I usually look over things like this and I am not so picky when it comes to small details like this, but this one was so glaringly obvious that I couldn't overlook it.
Most of the time I come away from reading her books with a satisfied and totally happy feeling, not so with these past two.
I come away disappointed that there hasn't been more?
So please, please bring back the old Nina Bangs!
