The film may have been a muddled waste of celluloid, but it was the undeserving recipient of a beautiful score from the brilliant and unsung Cliff Martinez. Blending hushed, shimmering orchestration with icy electronic atmospheres, this is gorgeous and subtle minimalist ambience, very similar to his wonderful score for Solaris. At half an hour, it's on the short side, but worth the money nonetheless for fans of Martinez' unique brand of ambient alchemy.

This so-called "album" contains just 26 minutes of music.

This is a wonderful score by Cliff Martinez. I haven't seen the film Wicker Park, but still enjoy this as a stand alone piece. Martinez's score for Soderburgh's 'Solaris' is really worth looking for also.

One thing stood out about the movie Wicker Park, and that was the music. Although not a very good movie itself, both the soundtrack and the score were excellent. First off, if you do not have the soundtrack, go get that first. But this review is for the score, expertly composed by Cliff Martinez (Traffic, Solaris). The music here is a perfect blend of ambient and classical, flowing seamlessly from one track to the next. Martinez proves his expertise by fading in background instruments and sounds with the foreground to create a wonderful soundscape of music. The score clocks in at just under 30 minutes, which is admittedly very short, but there is absolutely no filler here - it's all incredible music. Whether you're looking for something to sleep or study to, or just some excellent chilled out music, this score is for you.

Although it is a short CD, less than 30-minutes, I did find that I enjoyed listening to this chilly yet smooth soundtrack for the movie Wicker Park. Cliff Martinez did a remarkable job on this soundtrack to make Wicker Park that much more of an enjoyable film.
