5.0 out of 5 stars Wide Awake Bored
Every so often, there comes along a song that you just can't get enough of. This cd is packed from beginning to end with songs like that. Once you've heard them, you can't shake loose of them. Treble Charger is one of Canada's finest rock bands, just listen to them, and you'll see why. I highly recommend getting this cd, I promise you won't be disappointed!

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Mainstream!
Treble Charger has grown as a band but it may not have been for the better. With Wide Awake Bored they enter into the mainstream of "rock" so to speak. They had their own type of style but now they just sound like any other band out there. Sure, you may like songs like "American Psycho" but that is why everyone likes them now is because of this...

5.0 out of 5 stars Treble Charger's Best!, November 20, 2000

This album is really good. It is fast paced and has great sounds! Most of the Songs on this album are catchy and will get you to sign along! On This Album Treble Charger's Sound Evolved into a Better and Heavier sound that resembles punk. Their First Single American Psycho is just amazing! people would think that this is the best or only good song , the answer is NO. Although american Psyco is one of my favorites on this CD, "My Business" is My Favorite track. It is fast paced and has really good lyrics! Many Great tunes such as Brand New Low, Cheat Away, Favorite worst Enemy and Another Dollar. There isn't a track you will hate, sure there is some you will like less than others but Nothing that Will make you skip it. I recommend this album, you'll be playing it over and over! great Replay Value!

5.0 out of 5 stars The peak of a career... for now..., April 20, 2003
By
This review is from: Wide Awake Bored (Audio CD)
Yes, this is Treble Charger's best, for now. They had a chance to do better with the fallow-up, Detox, but they couldn't. So, to this day, this is the best Treble Charger album you can find. It's everything Maybe It's Me was only better. Catchier, more melodic... It was their biggest hit in Canada and their best chance to take on the USA, but they didn't. I won't talk much about that, but I'll say that Treble Charger deserved more.

The beginning of the album is where Treble Charger rocks the most. Brand New Low (second single), American Psycho (first single) and Buisness (third single) are probably the catchiest Treble Charger songs ever. They are the kind of energetic songs that they are now known for. Cheat Away is a nice ballad that reminds me of Red of Ever She Flows. Funny and Favorite Worst Enemy are of the same kind as the first 3. The rest of the songs are really slow compared to what we've been used to, but they still have Treble Charger written all over them. Another Dollar and Just What They Told me are the ones that really lets us hear the singer's voice (one of them anyway, Greig and Bill are both singers).

Treble Charger are at their best live, but they still shine on their albums. They are energetic and catchy. It's a real shame that Simple Plan, a band that can only be described as a joke, is getting more attention than them.

4.0 out of 5 stars This CD Rocks, May 23, 2004

Every song on this album is excellent rock/punk....very catchy..high energy. There are a couple of slow songs and they're very good. Believe me, "American Psycho" is just the tip of the iceberg. I love this band. I love their sound. You'll love this CD. Why aren't they more famous?

Treble Charger has grown as a band but it may not have been for the better. With Wide Awake Bored they enter into the mainstream of "rock" so to speak. They had their own type of style but now they just sound like any other band out there. Sure, you may like songs like "American Psycho" but that is why everyone likes them now is because of this tune. Have a listen to the other CDs that Treble Charger release prior to this one. The three really good ones prior to this are "Self-Title","NC-17", and "Maybe It's Me" If you have a chance to listen to these you'll respect Treble Charger's prior music taste. It seems they have tried to enter a realm of artists who change their look and sound just to suit what's hip. They were a great band once and can be again. If you're interested in picking up a few of these CDs e-mail me at (e-mail address)

Thanks :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Solid Album by an Amazing Band, December 2, 2000

This review is from: Wide Awake Bored (Audio CD)
This is without a doubt Treble Charger's most solid album to date. Longtime fans such as myself will not be dissapointed, and new listeners should immensely enjoy the catchy tunes, witty lyrics and the fluidity of the album as a whole.

These guys are also awesome live, so if you get the chance, don't pass it up.
