This is probably my favorite mug. It easily holds about twice as much as a regular coffee cup. It comes with a plastic splash guard that locks into place down inside the rim. The best thing about the mug though is the wide grippy bottom that enables me to set it just about anywhere in my car without worrying that it will tip over. Even hard corners don't seem to phase it. It's also the only cup in my house that can withstand my cat's efforts to tip it over.

The odd shape also has downsides though. It won't fit in any cup holder I've ever come across, but that doesn't matter much since it won't tip over no matter where you set it. If you don't rinse it out immediately, it can be difficult to clean later, due to the shape; if you don't have small hands, you may need a bottle cleaning brush. Also, I imagine if you had more than one of these mugs, they'd be awkward to store since this mug tends to hog the cabinet space. Despite this, it's still a great mug. In fact I'm going to need another since my husband has now adopted it as his favorite too!

My mug arrived with several areas of glaze chipped off. I'm not about to send it back though because of the shipping charges. I'd be paying for the mug threefold if I did and probably would find missing glaze on the replacement. I wasted my money. The store that sells this mug via Amazon didn't check the merchandise prior to sending it.The box it arrived in was in a larger box with packing foam. But the inner box that the mug was in was opened and was in bad shape. Not good for Amazon either. I hope the powers that are in Amazon see this review.

This is a fine product with one major exception. The mug I received is not microwave safe. I have another HoJo wide-based mug (cobalt blue) from a different vendor and it works fine in the microwave. However, the white mug has a major defect. When you reheat coffee in the microwave, the lower part of the handle gets too hot to even touch. I ordered this specifically to be able to reheat coffee in a microwave because I like my coffee hot. Unfortunately the first mug arrived with a crack in the glazing along the base. That crack quickly started to leak hot coffee on the very first use. A replacement mug was sent but it became evident almost immediately that the ceramic mug gets very hot too and does not retain the heat well. The hot liquid cools very quickly as there is no insulation. Also the lid is flimsy and tends to leak coffee while you're trying to sip it. Overall, I am not happy with this product and my search for a wide bottom mug that can be reheated in the microwave continues.

I had looked for a mug shaped like this for a long time, as my husband has one he bought from a now defunct coffeehouse that is very similar, which he swears by. This shape sits on the floor of the car, and doesn't slosh. Forget cup holders, as nothing fits in them right anyway. My only complaint about this mug is that it came with some imperfections in the glaze on the inside, so I don't know if I'm really getting it clean. The shape is a bit hard to clean, anyway. But still, I use it more than any other mug due to it's very spillproof shape. White is also a boring color for a coffee mug....

My coffee goes with me and not in a metal or plastic cup. Hard to spill or knock over. I was very surprised when I found this wide base cup and ordered two right away. Shipping was a little high and no discount for more than one. It is exactly what I wanted and well packed and not broken. Now comes the test of endurance.

THE PERFECT TRAVEL MUG. I HATE THE PLASTIC MUGS OR THE PLASTIC LINED MUGS. THIS ONE KEEPS MY TEA HOT AND DOESN'T SLIDE AROUND. IT'S WIDE ENOUGH TO SIT ON THE SEAT WITHOUT TIPPING OVER.

This is the best travel mug in the world. Ceramic is great for easy cleaning (only downfall is it's breakable), the design makes it very difficult to tip over, and with the rubber base, you can sit it almost anywhere on a flat surface. I don't even use the lid that comes with it -- it's that good.

I am very pleased with the travel coffee cup, especially because it sits great in my car. I will purchase more for the holiday season for gift-giving.

This mug is one of the mugs I have most enjoyed over the years, and mine is now covered in odd stickers, some writings in permanent marker and some price stickers from the coffee shops I have dragged it to.

Works great, feels great and I have yet to damage it in anyway. If you are looking for a good mug for yourself, or for others then forget buying something with a logo on it from a major coffee store, buy this one and get something that works for YOU.
