I bought this fabric because I am getting into silks or as other people call it aerial acrobats. Yes like the people at the circus and I wanted my own set at home to practice on for foot locks and other moves. Cant practice climbing since my ceiling is only 8 feet but its serves its purpose. It is strong and durable. Plus I ordered extra fabric and my hubby put up an extra anchor so it can double as a sex swing. So we are both happy with the purchase ;)

It's not easy finding fabric NINE FEET WIDE at anything close to this price. I don't know much about fabrics, so "40 denier" or "tricot" doesn't tell me anything. I expected it to be thin because of the low cost, but it is much thinner than I anticipated.

Put in terms that everybody can understand: It is VERY thin (about like two-ply tissue). It is quite see-thru if there is any light behind it. It's very soft & smooth and "flows" like satin (but it has a medium sheen).

If you are looking for fabric with these properties then this is a fine choice. But it won't work for my intended theatrical application (though it would make a good and inexpensive stage scrim).

When spread out, 2 yards covers a queen sized bed. Will be making something naughty for my wife with it. There is probably enough for two projects.

Product description says "It has about 50% stretch across the grain for added comfort and ease", this is NOT the case. There is no stretch, and it is VERY see through, not "Semi-sheer".

I did not realize what weight 40 Denier is. I was looking for a satin tricot. I will make it work, but it wasn't what iwas expecting.
