taste is back in music,

I recently visited friends in Kitchener Canada and one of the family members there played this cd for me.Needless to say I can't get enough of there music now.I have to have friends bring there cd's back from Canada because I can't find them anywhere in the states.Wide Mouth Mason has given me hope for a dying industry of tasteless music and repetitive chords that tend to go nowhere. This is an all around talented group that must be heard in any form you get the chance to hear them in.

Rock on,

This is an incredible CD of Blues/Rock eclectica. Three obscenely talented Canadian guys that blow me away every time I see them live. The tracks feel big, and the soundscape is brilliant...always makes me move.

Astonishing,

Saw Wide Mouth Mason in a little club in Buffalo, NY late 1998. One of the most astonishing concerts I have ever seen. This band is a well kept secret in the USA but growing fast in Canada. This CD is great, the new CD even better but you must see them live!

If music is The Bomb, here's the Uranium!,

What can I say. I hear a lot of filthy sounds on the radio today. These days, bands can get away with having no singing or instrumental talent. Heck, most cant even read music. When bands have guitar players who picked up the instrument only a year previous to the album release, you can tell that their three chord songs are nothing but crap. Wide Mouth Mason is the complete opposite. 3 guys from Saskatoon, Canada have come together from different backgrounds and combined a plethera of musical talent into the most explosive, imaginative, and pure magic that defines what music should, and will be. These guys will be huge once they get the recognition they deserve, and when the Rolling Stones personally request for them to open the past two tours, you know they have what it takes.

Nothing Short of WOW!,

Guys shouldn't be allowed to be this talented. Shaun has an amazing voice, and plays one wicked guitar. In addition, he can turn the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" into the heavily blues influenced "Tom Robinson", and it's nothing short of brilliant. Add to this greatness an outstanding bass player, and a drummer with a awesome, but slightly different groove. This CD is an absolute gem from a band you have never heard of, and from a place (Saskatchewan) people only ever joke about. It's really nothing short of WOW!

They are truly a great band. I first saw them open up for the Rolling Stones, back in February, and thought they were good. I recommend this cd, even if you don't like the weird name of the band. But they are growing very rapidly in Canada.

After first being blown away by their live show, I proceeded to shell out cash for an album that has been a longtime in coming. With roots in both blues and rock and roll, WMM's major-label debut is a testament to why music moves the soul. My only question is when is the next tour and album?

Oustanding Modern Blues Rock & Roll,
By A Customer
This review is from: Wide Mouth Mason (Audio CD)
Wide Mouth Mason personifies what Modern Blues Rock & Roll should be. They are the perfect blend of Blues feeling and heart plus Rock & Roll's hard driving sound. The guitar, base and drums all compliment each other. The lyrics are as relevant as todays headlines. The biggest complaint about Wide Mouth Mason is why have they not come out with a second album, and why are they not touring near me.

Blues rock at it's best,
By A Customer

This band live has more presence than any other. If you are a fan of Matchbox20, Tonic, 3rd Eye Blind, and any other band of the moment, DO NOT GET THIS CD. If however, you like blues rock, this is one of the best I've EVER come across. Enjoy.
