Wow!,

"Wide Open" is surprisingly easy to experience, given its power to evoke such a wide range of life's emotions. In one CD, the listener resonates with feelings that start with new and intense love, feelings that then extend through all the seasons of life and relationships.Amy Jane delivers provocative lyrics with her strong yet velvety voice. Rich Marcello's richly expressive guitar establishes and carries the mood, beginning with the first chords. "Wide Open" is a wonderful gift to listeners.

Wide Open is the third CD released from Pinnacle Records. The music of Rich Marcello continues to grow. This CD, with Amy Jane for vocals is excellent - the best CD to date. There is an emotional honesty and depth to the music which reaches the soul. Everything from 'Blessing', a song to a 13 year old son to 'In The Beginning' a song about the view from the end of a very long, successful and blessed marriage, to 'If you Could See Me Completely' which is my personal favorite. The arrangements on the music is excellent and the lyrics come through clearly with great emotion. This is an excellent CD which debuts Amy Jane and shows the continued growth of the music by Rich Marcello at Pinnacle Records. An excellent gift!

Emotional Journey,

Amy Jane's new album is one of the most emotionally packed CD's I have every heard. Each song takes you to a different place spiritually. My favorite songs include Beverly and In Dreams. Beverly sends you on a reflective voyage through memories, while In Dreams will make you cry at the powerful love behind the lyrics. Don't miss this album! It's a "must have" for all fans of beautiful music.

A friend gave me a copy of this great new CD and I love it. Reminds me of early Natalie Merchant or Sarah McLachlan. The album tells a story of relationships - from the playful Beverly to the evocative If You Could See Me Completely (one of my favorites!). Overall, the sound has a great beat - combining acoustic guitar and Amy Jane's sweet yet soulful voice.

Amy Jane Is Someone to Watch,
By Matt Feeney (Phoenix, AZ USA) - See all my reviews

I loved this CD, which I think is Amy Jane's first. I picked it up because I'm interested in everything that comes out of Pinnacle Studios. The lyrics and music on this CD are extremely sophisticated and Amy Jane's vocals are incredible: a rich voice that's extremely emotive. She has a very unique style that reminds me of a combination of Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, Margo Timmins of The Cowboy Junkies, and Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls (how's that for a blend?). Many of the the songs have a "folkie" feel to them, including "Wide Open," which I think is the best song on the CD. Once you hear it you won't be able to get it out of your head. But there are a lot of other songs worth listening to, including Blessing (a beautiful song to a thirteen year old boy), Hold You, If You Could See Me Completely (a haunting love song), and In The Beginning (almost like a love letter to a dying lifetime companion). Check this CD out because I think we're going to be hearing a lot more from Amy Jane.

Can't Wait for the Next,

Both my husband and I really like the emotional force in Amy Jane's beautiful collection. Probably our most favorite is "In the Beginning," with its innovative arrangement and her decisive lead. The rhythm that snugly wraps around the lyrics of "Unrequited" is simply genius. With the great bass arrangement on "Sweat and Honey" and one of the most creative melodies we've heard in a long time on "Growing Down," we'll be listening to this one for a long time and anxious for her next.
