Is this box set widescreen or full screen versions of the films?

It should be the original aspect ratio on Blu-ray, so it is 99% sure that it will be 1:85:1 for the first three movies and 2:4:1 for the last part. Meaning they will all be widescreen.

Yup, exactly what, 1:85 for 1-3, 2:4.1 for 4

Okay, so you guys are all making the same mistake. There are only two dimensions, not three, so it's not 1:85:1 or 2:4:1. Instead it's 1.85:1 and 2.4:1 (2.39 technically). Yes, both formats are wide screen. 1.85:1 being slightly wider than 16:9, and 2.39:1 being much wider.
