5.0 out of 5 stars Great picture and fits in any caninet
I replaced my old Sony 32" TV. This thing started blowing on me at 4 years old. Now seven and fixed 4 times, it was time to chuck that bad boy. I have nothing bad to say about Sony, but it was time to switch. I was actually deciding between the Sony and the Toshiba 34", but the Toshiba was lighter, smaller and better priced. I stood in front of the 2 TV's for hours...

1.0 out of 5 stars This Toshiba TV is not reliable.
I purchased this Toshiba HDTV and had it fail just after the 2 year warranty expired. Toshiba explained there was nothing they would do back up their product. No TV should fail after 2 years. I recommend selecting another brand, you can get the same performance and price, and end up with a more reliable product.

This review is from: 34 Widescreen HD-Ready Television w/ CYCLONE® Subwoofer System & Illuminated Remote (Electronics)
I stood in front of the 2 TV's for hours in the store and the Toshiba won hands down. This TV is so under rated and not sold online in many stores. I bought it at 6th Ave Electronics and they beat any other price by one hundred and fifty bucks.

Now the TV:
Good-
Price, size, the HDTV picture is fantastic, sound, appearance, 2 HDMI connections.

Bad-
The only thing I would say is the remote. I like good looking remotes and this one doesn't look good. Any way for me I use my Harmoney remote, so the Toshiba one sits in a draw.

Final Recommendation:
BUY THIS TV, you won't be sorry. Sony schmony.

5.0 out of 5 stars My dream TV, but I can't find one..., November 20, 2005

This is the last and the best TV ever released by Toshiba. I learned from research that both the Toshiba 34HF84 and 34HFX84 reportably are the last HD CRT TVs ever made by Toshiba. Picture and color are excellent. Inputs work great. Very high quality. They will be collector's items. I highly recommend this TV to anyone.
