Widow Maker,
This review is from: The Widow-Maker Heart Attack at age 48: Written by a Heart Attack Survivor for a Heart Attack Survivor and Their Loved Ones (Hardcover)
An easy to read narrative that reveals the perspectives of the patient and his family, as they unravel the emotions inherent with the process and recovery of heart attack survival.
An insightful window into the overwhelming feelings of triumph and frustration, this book provides an informative and educational perspective of how a survivor feels during and after the attack. I recommend this book to survivors, and family, of any medical condition, to better understand the patient's viewpoint and the power of love and family in healing, reflection and moving forward. A highly recommended and commendable read.

Widow Maker at 48,
This review is from: The Widow-Maker Heart Attack at age 48: Written by a Heart Attack Survivor for a Heart Attack Survivor and Their Loved Ones (Hardcover)
Patrick Fox has taken initiative in this writing to tell not only his story but to be an advocate for other heart attack victims and their families. Fox hides nothing about his experience as he shares private situations, personal feelings and emotions, and gives frank advice to caregivers and hospital personnel. The book is written in story form which makes it both interesting to read as well as informative. While reading this book will not stop anyone from having a heart attack it will certainly be a gift to those suffering this crisis as Fox walks with them on their physical, emotional, and spiritual journey to find wholeness.

Widow Maker,
This review is from: The Widow-Maker Heart Attack at age 48: Written by a Heart Attack Survivor for a Heart Attack Survivor and Their Loved Ones (Hardcover)
The book was well written. The medical information, complications, side effects, and feelings related to the heart attack were well explained. From cover to cover, it was hard to put down. The step by step details from beginning through recovery were interesting. The family support and involvement added a warmth. The mention of the horses, the log cabin, Disney and other supporting information also added a special touch. There was humor and sadness. The book was so real that I felt like I was there. Well done. I highly recommend this book. JT

This is a great book that provides a first-hand account of going through a massive heart attack from the beginning symptoms through recovery. By writing the book in a story format, the author does a wonderful job of sharing his experiences as the heart attack survivor, his family's experiences in response to the heart attack, and important information that could be helpful to others. It is an easy read that is hard to put down.

widow maker heart attack,
This review is from: The Widow-Maker Heart Attack at age 48: Written by a Heart Attack Survivor for a Heart Attack Survivor and Their Loved Ones (Hardcover)
A compelling read, very difficult to put down! This book depicts the real-life experience of a heart-attack survivor. The vivid details of experiencing the pain and frustration during the moments of the attack are incredible. Although the details are so real, they are also hopeful as we learn about Patrick's recovery physically and mentally. As you read, you are pulled into the story and feel yourself going along on the journey with Patrick and his family. I feel this book should be a must read for families dealing with a similar situation. Learning ways to understand your loved one's situation must be beneficial to their recovery and the family's peace of mind. I highly recommend this book!

A heart attack is a life-changing event. "The Widow-Maker Heart Attack at Age 48: Written by a Heart Attack Survivor for a Heart Attack Survivor and Their Loved Ones" is a combination memoir and advice manual, reflecting on Patrick Fox's own survival of his heart attack and the year after which proved quite tumultuous for him. An emotional experience with a major focus on family and being near death, "The Widow-Maker Heart Attack" is a very much recommended read for anyone concerned about their own heart's health.
