"The Widow's Burden" is a wonderful book for fiction and poetry lovers! It tells a story of intrigue and poignance of the oldColorado West. Robert Cooperman's fans will recognize favorite characters including John Sprockett. The book also has splendid illustrations by award-winning illustrator, Michael Welply. This is a fitting sequel to Cooperman's "In the Colorado Gold Fever Mountains," a delightful collection that won the Colorado Book Award for Poetry in 2000. |
