For a person not used to English idioms, it may present the reader with some amusement or confusion. Nevertheless, it certainly brings flavour to the book.
By todays standards, the plot is very simple, with a predictable outcome. Nevertheless, it does bring considerable humour to a genre that is often very seriously demarcated as the criminals and police. A light easy quick read, that does keep your interest. |
