Wonderful Joan Smith romance, August 2, 2004
This review is from: Wife Errant (Mass Market Paperback)
Excerpt from the back cover:
"With Mama dashing scandalously about Bath playing the young flirt to avenge Papa's improprieties, Tess Marchant realized that neither she nor her younger sister stood a chance of any sort of entree into polite society, much less of finding a husband. Though woefully ignorant of the ways of the world, Tess decided that a few secret trysts of her own would spur rumors of indiscretion and give Mama a taste of her own medicine. Lord Revel, a notorious rake in his own right, was more than happy to play the part of ardent paramour. Tess was by no means an antidote. She was, in fact, so charming that a *harmless* flirtation might be hard to maintain..."
This book made me laugh out loud at all of the ways Tess tries to bring her wayward parents to heel, all while shamelessly using the debonair Lord Revel.
