Biography

Playing feel-good rock and R&B music proved successful for the Cockroaches; they even scored a Top Ten hit during the 12 years they spent together. But when the band broke up in 1991, bandmembers Tony Field and Jeff Fatt decided to form a children's band that would prove far more successful than anything they had previously experienced. Calling themselves the Wiggles, Field and Fatt ... Read more in Amazon's The Wiggles Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, but Get the Video Too! August 16, 2003
Format:Audio CD
At first, I thought this cd was the Wiggles' first "stinkaroo" effort. The songs are a little more rock-and-rollish compared to their other cds. However, when I saw the video, it definitely made sense! It's really cute when you see the action that goes with the songs. This seems to be a departure from their previous studio albums so don't expect tunes like, "Dorothy the Dinosaur," and "Wake Up Jeff." It's more like a mini-movie with this being the soundtrack. My son likes it, however, and I really like it now too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Treat for Parents and Kids Alike December 28, 2004
By Kim
Format:Audio CD
What a fantastic CD! If you are a pop music fan you would have to love this album-- You don't have to have the DVD to appreciate this album. The songs are more of a rocking late 60s and early 70s sound, "Zing Zang Zong" being one of the highlights.

Like all the songs on this CD, "Let's Make Some Rosey Tea" sounds even better on CD than on the DVD. It also features some songs from "Space Dancing," which are equally awesome-- "What's This Button For?" and the cover of "Eagle Rock".

I love how the Wiggles explore pop music and don't stick with the traditional folk songs, I think "Wiggle Bay" and other late Wiggles albums are a great introduction for kids to pop music.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of their best CDs! January 14, 2004
Format:Audio CD
I read the other reviews which prompted me to say this CD is NOT boring! How can anyone say Zing Zang Zong is boring?? My daughter is 7 and is a huge Wiggles fan, well, I am too and I'm in my 30's. The musical style of this album is similar to something from the 60's beach set and the songs are very catchy. I find myself humming them during the day while I teach. If your kids watch the newer Playhouse Disney series, Network Wiggles, they'll be familiar with the songs and dances and will appreciate this CD. Enjoy!
