Love this game fun for all ages.

The game is really easy to understand, my 5 year-old nephew was able to play with a little bit of coaching.

The other negative is that using the 4 sections of the board make it fairly easy to place all the magnets.

I bought this in a bookstore as a small game for a family trip, as it seemed fun and easy to carry. I never thought we would be playing it every week!!! The game is really easy to understand, my 5 year-old nephew was able to play with a little bit of coaching. You can play from 1 to 4 players, but 2-3 is the best. Each player has a stack of magnets that needs to be placed on 4 triangular mats. The 4 mats let you change the overall shape and difficulty. Each player places one magnet per turn. If your magnet attracts other magnets you collect the bundled magnets. Like previously said, its' fairly easy to play, but there are many tricks to master. You can push magnets with yours to make room, place the magnet standing up to increase their magnetism (beats me how that works!). I am glad the game is on Amazon now, as my kid's friends were asking me to get them one. Clear instructions and good packaging. Only downside is that the magnets are shaped differently and some are harder to position.

This game was enjoyed by my under 14 group one weekend. Everyone found a level of play to meet their needs. Easy to learn, anyone can enjoy this game. Small magnets might get lost and may not be appropriate for kids who put things in their mouths, but don't let the 14+ stop you from buying this for your 8 year old.

I bought this about a month ago to give my son something to do with his girlfriend besides just sitting there holding hands texting each other on the love seat. They did play with it a bit, but much more preferred texting each other on the love seat. However, the time you could get them away from the loveseat, the game created a ton of giggles. There's just something fun about having all the magnets suddenly jump together, especially if you aren't the one who happens to be playing their turn at that time.

Then my grandson was here and he loved it just as much (he's my hubby's and is same age as my son actually - 13). It definitely was one of his "have to play this again" games.

Then my best friend came back to visit. She went through a heart-breaking divorce earlier this year and was bringing her son for his first long visit with his father, so her mood was really low. When I couldn't think of anything else, I brought out Yikerz! and began to play it with her. No matter how bad she might have felt, she couldn't help but giggle as all of the magnets suddenly clumped together and/or if her attempts to manipulate the various magnetic fields together to keep things "apart" suddenly collapsed and failed. Anyhow - as a parting gift and something to keep her mind off of things when they got too hard, I sent away my Yikerz! game with her; you can play it solitaire and I can always buy another one.

It seems incredibly simple looking at it, but you pretty quickly realize that you can make it pretty difficult by rearranging the four triangles so there is less open space between them and you have to put the magnets together. Play is really simple.

I bought this for my 8th grade cousin (male) for Christmas in addition to another gift. I wanted to get him something he could play with right away and that would hold interest after the initial opening. He was eager to play the game immediately. The flexible set-up of the game board allows for continual challenge and levels of difficulty. I had gotten my other cousin the electronic Loopz game and expected it to be the hot item, but more people were interested in playing Yikerz - both kids and adults! It all fits in a fairly small bag and the items are very durable. Excellent choice.

This game is a lot of fun for kids and adults. It is a magnet based game that requires strategy. The whole point of this game is to set up magnets without attracting others, while still placing them in such a way that the next player to go will likely make them attract. It does get much more difficult towards the end, and I don't recommend playing it on the couch (if pieces fall down they stick inside). I don't recommend it for younger children because the pieces are small enough to swallow, and it is important not to lose pieces - it comes with a nifty bag to keep them together. It's a good game when you're looking for something that is challenging, yet quick and simple in concept.

Yikerz!: 1+ Players, Ages 14+, Average Play Time = 10 Minutes

First, I'd like to commend this game for its flexibility. Having four separate player boards allows players to come up with their own battlegrounds in which to fight. The manual lists out nineteen board configurations, but there's obviously many more that can be created with a little imagination. There's also a solitaire, speed game, high stakes, and win, place or show variant listed in the manual to keep things interesting. I'm sure that creative players will be able to come up with their own variants to best suit their needs, should they want to.

The components are colorful and well made. The player boards themselves remind me of thin mouse pads and the magnets are pretty solid and heavy. However, they are small enough so that they fit into an easy to carry pouch, making it an ideal travel game. Magnets have been known to mess with computer hardware, so keep your laptop and other sensitive equipment away from the game if at all possible. I can't confirm or deny if the magnets in this game could cause trouble, but better to be safe than sorry.

The different strategies one could employ in this game can be staggering. The board changes with each move, so players will be forced to adapt to their new environment as they place each piece. With the right placement, players can set traps for each other to really ruin their day. It comes down to whoever can manipulate the magnetic fields on the board, and I have to say that science in regards to magnetism couldn't be more fun.

It's safe to say that the kids really had a fun time with Yikerz! We played multiple games as each one took about ten to fifteen minutes to play.
