"Santa" brought the Wiggles "Wiggle Time" video to our house and my two daughters (ages 2 1/2 and 5 years of age) LOVED it, as did all of their friends. I particularly liked that the girls were up dancing and actually getting some exercise during the entire video, unlike most videos where kids are inclined to just sit and watch. For that reason I immediately ordered the "Yummmy Yummy" video.

The girls do love this one but my primary reason for ordering it . . . the "stand-up, dance and move" rather than "sit and stare" factor . . . isn't nearly as good in this one. There is much more down-time (as in 'sit down') on this one.

Still, THEY do enjoy it. If I were choosing between this or Wiggle Time as a parent, I'd recommend that you choose "Wiggle Time" in a heart beat for your kids, for gifts, etc.

Also, I do agree that the puppets are kind of creepy and, while they don't bother my children, they don't really keep their attention either.

They definitely love the upbeat tunes contained on this video though, every one of them.

After seeing the previews on Barney Videos we bought the video tapes. We've had Yummy Yummy for about 2 weeks now and my son absolutely loves them. However there are a couple of scenes that frighten him. there are Puppets who are suppose to look like the characters on this show performing a song. They are a frightening portrayal of the 4 characters. When their scene come up, my 2 year old says "Scary.." and covers his eyes while I fast forward the scene . It gets scarier as you watch it in fast-forward. Other than that my son is enthralled with the Wiggles & always asks to watch it before & after day care. It is a video with lots of physical participation. My husband & I end up joining our son with all the dance moves. It is so great seeing our son's face light up when we put on their ( the WIggles ) video tape. We also purcahsed Wiggle Time. Our son loves that video and we have just currently ordered Wake Up Jeff. We can't wait.

My two boys constantly want to watch Wiggle Time. I bought Yummy Yummy to get a break from Wiggle Time and we're disappointed. Yummy Yummy has these strange puppets in it that spook my almost 3 year-old. The Hot Potato Song is the best song on the video and that is on the Wiggle Time video...so I recommend skipping this tape and sticking with Wiggle Time.

This is the video your looking for if you've seen the preview on Barney video's of the Wiggles. This has the Monkey song on it. My kids (5 and 21 months)think these guys are wonderful. They begged for the tape after seeing it advertised on Barney. We went looking for it at Toys R Us and with no luck came looking for it here. Thank goodness I found it and the kids get up and dance and sing with it. Its great. They can even spell DOROTHY, you'll see. Even Dad and I find ourselves singing the songs. I plan on buying Wiggle Time soon for them as well. This is for sure a tape that won't sit around, it will be watched a lots of times...

Our 20 month old daughter is not that interested in many children's videos but she loves the Wiggles. The music and the dancing keep her attention and she likes to imitate the dances and actions. Of the 3 Wiggle videos that are currently available, this tape is their second best. If you're only buying one tape, I'd recommend "Wiggle Time" over this one. "Wake Up Jeff" is our least favorite Wiggles tape- it must have been done much earlier and with a very low budget. The costumes and props are very "cheap" looking. It's OK, but not as good as the others.

Although we play this tape a lot, two of the songs are done by the "Wiggles Puppets." These are some of the strangest puppets I've ever seen and they almost have a demonic look about them. If I were a kid they'd give me nightmares. At first, our daughter was a little afraid of them but now she just tolerates them. There's also a magic sketch in each of the Wiggle videos but we usually fast-forward through it. Maybe when she gets older she'll find this to be interesting but it bores her now.

Overall, I think that these are wonderful tapes. They hold our daughters interest. The songs and dances are fun for her to watch and she seems to like the Wiggles characters (Jeff, Murray, Anthony and Greg). It's the only tapes that we have she loves to hand to us, then point to the TV (play this one).

We received this video as a gift when my daughter was just a baby. Even then she would bob her little head when she heard the Wiggles sing between shows on Playhouse Disney. Ever since then she's been hooked.

She's now 20 months and although she still enjoys this video I must admit that she does prefer others now like Hoop Dee Doo and Toot Toot. This video just doesn't have as much going on as the others, and the songs and dances are very very simple. But I think this is exactly what was so great about it when my daughter was a bit younger. Sometimes kids shows just have so much going on that they just can't follow them. Yummy Yummy is just right for young toddlers in that respect.

As far as the songs, they're some of our favorites. I embarrassed to admit it but my husband and I actually love the Pufferbillies song and even do the movements! And what Wiggle's collection would be complete without Fruit Salad?

Overall I would say this is a very good video. As far as the puppets go, yes they are a bit weird but have never scared my daughter fortunately. Although they do drive my husband and me bonkers!! Buy this one, you won't be sorry.

I also purchased this tape because of the Barney advertisement. My 20 month old loves this video. We dance to the whole tape, it is fun, and good exercise for both of us. Her favorite song is the "Hammer Song", it is really cute to watch her dance and have such a fun time. We also love the puppets, they do not scare her at all, she even giggles when they appear. I also purchased Wiggle Time. At first I didn't like it, but I have to admit, it kind of grew on me too. Both videos are great. Of the two, Yummy Yummy is the favorie at our house.

This is the video that contains the "Monkey Dance" and the "Hot Potato Dance" that are being promoted on the new Barney Videos, although it is incorrectly stated that these songs are on the new "Wiggle Time" video. (They are not). My daughter loves these two songs the best, which I suppose is why they chose to promo them, but there are a couple other ones that she also really enjoys..."Joannie's Hammer song to name one. The guys in the video grow on you, too, so they aren't nearly as annoying now as they were the first time I watched. But my daughter is oblivious to their cheesiness and thinks they're great...and that's the important thing. I'd recommend it to anyone whose children like to dance and mimic.

I love the Wiggles, my wife loves the Wiggles, and most importantly so do my 1 1/2 year-old son and 5 year-old daughter. As a musician myself, the songs are consistently first-rate--catchy, varied, and engagingly performed. The choreography is also excellent--elegantly designed to be both engaging to watch but easy to imitate, and very well performed by both the adults and children. None of the sappy sentimentality or general dimwittedness of Barney, just plain FUN. I don't quite understand the hair-splitting over Yummy Yummy vs. Wiggle Time--our family simply loves both tapes, and we've been watching both of them over and over. I've also been humming the songs at work as well, and more importantly not at all minding that. My daughter admits the puppets are "weird," but we all got over that one, and "Point Your Finger" is an amazingly fun little techno song. In short, these guys have a great thing going, and if you hate other kid-vids you might nonetheless just love the Wiggles.

The first time you watch it, you say, "what the heck" did I buy? But after watching it a few more times, you begin singing the silly songs along with your children. The dancing is lively, the words of the songs are easy to learn and the "cooking" songs make your child want to help you in the kitchen. And the best part of all, for all you parents who have no time to exercise, this is the best aerobic workout you could ask for! I challenge you to try to be able to dance the entire video without stopping. By the way, my 2-year old now chooses the Wiggles over Barney!
