I bought 5 pairs of these socks for a backpacking trip over 3 years ago. They worked great then, and I've worn them hiking and casually ever since. They're still not worn out, and remain my most comfortable and favorite socks! They're also substantial enough to stand out in my laundry, so I've managed to only lose a single one in all this time. (and actually, I suspect that was the work of a vengeful and passive-aggressive neighbor). The only drawback I can think of is they are heavy and rugged, so might not be ideal for casual use in hot climates. Overall, these are fantastic socks!

I love these socks for winter hiking in the mountains. I originally bought two pairs about 15 years ago, still have them and they still have their perfect shape, no stretching or shrinking like other wool socks I have. Just bought 2 new sets, they fit great. The colors have changed slightly, but they are still the same high quality socks. I wash them, but never dry them... they dry quickly on their own when removed from the washer. When you wear them they keep your feet feeling extremely dry all day. Cotton socks start to feel wet from either sweat or water intrusion, but not these. Even if water gets into my boots, my feet feel dry with these on. I hope wigwam continues to offer these socks far into the future, they are a classic.

These socks are made in the USA. These socks feel good on your feet and are so soft! My husband and I really like the wear we get with them and how well they hold up.

My feet are extremely narrow and thin and the bones get inflamed if I do a lot of walking. I was looking for a hiking sock that would give me the extra padding I needed without overheating. These socks are super comfortable and help my feet stay pain free longer, so I can make it further on my hikes. They're thick but I don't feel weighed down. When I'm not hiking, I love to get cozy on cold nights by lounging around the house in them.

I bought these socks for my niece to wear with her boots and she loves them. Cost a bit more than other socks but worth it.

I am very particular about my outdoor sock…they have to be at least 70-85% wool with the remained cotton to wick and keep my feet dry. I use these socks for skiing or everyday and they ROCK!!! Comfy, soft, wash well as well as wear well.
