The case is nice and slim as mentioned by others, but you have to put 2 bits per elastic pouch to get them all into the case.

Yes, I have a similar set (even more bits, including some oddball drivers) that cost about 1/10 what this does. Too bad they have broken under even light usage, don't fit well, etc.

These fit, don't break, and exude quality. Yes, there are cheaper options for something that just sits on a shelf. For something that works, and will keep working, buy yourself a set of Wiha drivers.

After years of putting up with cheap precision tools kits that broke/bent/twisted or otherwise frustrated me, I found Wiha. I actually discovered then after reading a review for another product here, and decided to try them.

I purchased three different sets:
Wiha 26199 Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Set in Rugged Canvas Pouch, 8 Piece
Wiha 26993 Slotted and Phillips Precision Interchangeable Blade Set in Steel Box, 6 Piece
Wiha 75990 40-Piece System 4 Interchangeable Bit Set
I wanted to always have one with me (office, home, onsite), and all are of the same great quality. I have nothing negative to say regarding their ability to perform their designed function. I have only had them for a month and a half or so, but have used them extensively, primarily on PC's and other electronics, and I think they will last as long as I do, assuming I don't lose them.

Yes, they are not cheap, but when compared to how many $5-$20 tools I have had fail, the extra cost will be made up within the year.

Thanks for putting out a great product.

There are other brands of micro-tools with similar selections for less than half the cost (see "Maxtech 16521MX 32-Piece Precision Bit Set"), and they may work for light use, but the manufacturers are using quality hardened steel tools like the ones in this Wiha set for assembly. They don't want you "in their stuff" - but I like being able to get into "my stuff" when needed. Removing the screws with higher factory torques (twist forces) may require that you have similar tools to disassemble them. Hardening and heat-treating processes cost more money, hence the tools are more expensive. Cheaper tools with lower grade (softer) steel will bend and twist-off when they are this tiny and delicate. Some of these tools are less than 1mm (one millimeter, or about 1/25 inch). This set provides a wide range of types and sizes made from hardened CRM (Chrome, Chrome-Moly, and/or Cold-Rolled Mill as a work-hardening steel process) stainless tool steel (professional quality, hardness Rc 59-61 - very hard). They should last a lifetime - if you don't twist too hard in re-assembly and ruin them - more likely you will destroy the screws first. Google "Torx" and look at the Wikipedia result for a chart of Torx-head sizes and twist forces - these screws and tools are "need a magnifying glass" small and must be used properly (gently) to prevent damage to the tools, screw heads and threads, and items being repaired. This set also includes a nice carry/storage case.

After reading many precision screwdriver set I choose this one. It has all the bits that For the foreseeable future I can't imagine needing another precision set or even adding on to this one, unless I loose a bit. I do have some complaints though, mainly to other people that have commented on many of the other sets by Wiha.

To the people that think the bits fall out, man up and actually push the bit all the way in, they are meant to be held in by a very small ball bearing and it is a hard push to get it all the way. I actually read one review that someone complained that there we two 4.0mm and two 1.3mm and no 5-32 or 0.050. Wake up and open a conversion chart or even look it up on the web you dolt, the 5/32 is a 4.0mm and the 0.050 is a 1.3mm.

Others were whining on how the driver handle was plastic, are you planing on attempting to put 50 ft-lbs torque on this, use it like it was designed to work, there should be no time when you need to use this to apply more than 10 ft-lbs on this. I am glad that I trusted my gut and my knowledge that Wiha make the best precision tools out there rather that others and there misguided use and application of tools.

A comprehensive set of bits; 40 pieces is a lot for a micro bit set. Wiha makes high quality stuff. When it comes to micro bits, precision and durability is important, therefore Wiha is the way to go. Also the case is ideally compact. I'm sure any plastic case intended to hold as much as this rugged pouch would inevitably take up more space. I highly recommend this item.

The quality of the bits included with this tool are great, They fit screws snugly and do not round off or chip. That brings me to the only problem with the tool, the extension that hold the bits. The bits do not 'lock' into the holder (they are gripped very tightly, however). With the bits fitting so nicely into the screw sockets, you sometimes leave a bit stuck into the screw when you pull the tool out. Not a problem working on a bench, but I could see this being an issue if you ae working in a recessed area where your hand does not fit. The case is nice and slim as mentioned by others, but you have to put 2 bits per elastic pouch to get them all into the case. Thats not a problem, there is room for all the bits and they do stay in the elastic snugly. Most tools of this nature really skimp on the case, so its nice to have a one I will not throw away. Overall a high quality item that will last a very long time.
