Wii 5-in-1 Active Sports Kit

I purchased EA Active Sports More Workouts for my granddaughter (excellent program by the way). We had resistance bands but they kept slipping out of her hands which made her frustrated. We did not purchase EA Active so we did not have a leg strap. We used a small resistance band around her leg and put the nunchuck under the band. When I saw this kit I purchased it to help with her workouts.

** The water bottle is made of hard plastic. She dropped it and it didn't break which is an added bonus.
** The socks and towel that came in this kit are really nice. Can't really attest to durability because I have not yet washed either.
** The leg strap (one of my main reasons for purchasing the kit) is great. It holds the nunchuck perfectly in place while doing the exercise routines. It has a ring closure and velcro to keep it firmly in place.
**Finally, assembling the handles on the resistance band was a snap. No longer do her resistance bands slip out of her hands easily during exercise routines. Overall I would say that this is a great kit at a great price.

My husband and I have been using the EA Active Personal Trainer game for about 6 months. We have been frustrated by the fact that the red stretch band which came with the game is not enough resistance for some of the lower arm exercises, but when we tried buying something stronger, it was too difficult to use for the above the head exercises. Then our leg band began to give way at the seam - which seemed way to soon for something that was supposedly designed for daily use. But we like the workouts and have been able to (mostly) stick with them, so we were determined to find replacements. We did not really need the socks, towel, and water bottle, but this was all we could find. We like that the band is somewhat shorter than the orginal, so we swap them out for different exercises. Although it's a different color, I am pretty sure it is not a different strength, just shorter - by about a foot. The new leg band is the same as the original, but a different color. So, we are pleased, though we wish we had not had to buy the whole set.

I purchased this kit as I wanted EA Active More Workouts - and it does not come with a leg strap and resistance band. I saw this kit for cheaper than the official kit and tried it instead.

I borrowed the official EA kit from my friend before making this purchase.

The leg strap seems a little cheaper but does the job. The length is a little shorter, maybe an inch or two. However the big let down is that on the official leg strap there is this non-slip material which is absent on this leg strap. However, with just what fabric is there, it has much more stretch which is kinda nice to be able to get it on snug. However, I'm worried about its lifespan and I could see the stitching wearing away.

The resistance band is MUCH tougher. I had to adjust my workouts the second time using it so I didn't pull muscles again. Design and quality wise the resistance band seems the same.

The other stuff the kit comes with is like.. whatever free stuff they throw in that you don't need for the game. The bottle is small, it holds 2cups of water. Mine was squished from shipping so I had to use a spoon to pop it out. The socks and towel seemed okay.

With that said, this kit does the job for a cheaper price.

I bought this for my cousin so that we could do Wii fitness games together (especially needed the leg strap for EA Active), and she loves it! We have had no problems with any of the equipment, although neither of us have any use for the little socks, but they are cute. She is able to use the resistance band and leg strap with no problem, and she likes that it comes with a towel, too. She has used the water bottle only once, and usually opts to just drink from a glass, but the water bottle is not a bad one, per say.

So all in all, she really likes this! And thanks to this little kit to add on to the EA Active kit that we already have, we get to do Wii workouts together. It's great! :)

I got this in addition with EA sports active. I wanted an extra leg holder and this was the cheapest way to get one.

After 7 weeks of use (the Amazon timeframe for returns was 6 weeks, so it has expired), the leg strap is tearing at all seams: the end of the velcro section, the attachment of strap to elastic near the buckle, and the edges of the nunchuk pocket. I only bought this kit for the leg strap, so now it is worthless. I have searched through Amazon's returns center and can't find any way to return this that would give me more than a few $ back, and no way to replace the defective strap.

The kit arrived on time, but the water bottle is different then pictured (much cheaper looking) and the leg strap was solid green and not grey.

 

Good product. Gets you actively involved in the exercises. Mainly needed the strap to hold the nanchuk but the rest are fun goodies.

Bought this set for the band and leg strap only. Great price.
Stretch band works well, it is plenty of resistance for a beginner. Leg strap fits all sizes - my kids can use it and it fits up to my x-lg thigh size. I am worried about the pocket ripping, since you need to cinch this strap so tight it showing strains where the pocket is sewn. For now it is ok, over 12 weeks of use, 4x per week.

LOVE MY Wii. WANTED AN EXERCISE GAME, BUT I THINK THE $100 FOR Wii FIT IS A BIT MUCH.I ENJOY THE ACTIVE SPORTS, GOOD WORK-OUT. THE PRICE FOR THE KIT WAS GREAT AND WORKS FINE.
