4.0 out of 5 stars The best there is, but still room for improvement, December 1, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii G-pak Console Organizer Case (Video Game)
I have G-Paks for my PS2, Gamecube and Xbox, and as such, wouldn't even consider purchasing another carry case for my Wii. Naki has really made sure that these cases hold and protect your console, games and accessories while still making it easy and convenient to play, and the Wii G-Pak is no different in that regard.

The Wii sits on a raised shelf in the main compartment of the case and is held in place by a fancy-looking leather strap. This holds the Wii securely while allowing access to the front where you load games, the back where you plug in the cables, the top where you plug in Gamecube controllers and memory cards, and has openings for the ventilation fans. Like all G-Paks, you can play games right out of the case without removing the console. There is a cavernous compartment for all your controllers, the AC Adapter, cables and a couple mesh elastic pockets for smaller accessories. It can hold lots of games, and I especially like how the DVD sleeve can actually be removed and folded over to look like a car visor cd sleeve.

While there's room for everything imaginable, most of your accessories just sit loose in the huge pocket below the Wii. I would have preferred if there were specialized pockets for the remotes, as any button presses while the console isn't on would still use up the batteries. Also, there are no specific pockets for Gamecube games, discs or controllers, or even a place to put SD cards for use with the Wii.

Taking all this into account, though, this is still the best way to travel with your Wii, and is an easy recommendation to make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bag/pack I out for the Wii, June 17, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii G-pak Console Organizer Case (Video Game)
I did a couple weeks worth of research to find a bag that could expand when I bought additional games and controllers. Best Buy and other places (including Amazon) have the Wii sling bag made by Nintendo. Although it is a slick looking bag, its incredibly small and seemingly impractical for anyone who wants to bring more than 1-2 controllers and the console itself.

Not only was the size an initial issue, but the price was about the same or a little more expensive than the G-Pak in most cases.

Upon receiving the G-Pak I could immediately see I got more than I expected for my money. Its a tough well made pack with enough room for over two dozen games, the system, controllers and additional small items.

The way the top opens up with the console secure inside makes it easy for traveling. If you want to bring 3-4 controllers with you it will be a tiny bit tight (with nunchucks and all,) but as long as your not too sensitive about controllers touching during the time it takes you to get to where your going.

My suggestions are to always make sure you remove the batteries for the controllers before traveling with them.

This bag has actually given me a reason to take it with me to family members homes and on trips where we stayed at hotels with friends. Its definitly worth the money for anyone wanting to get the proper mileage out of their Wii console.

2.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of space but lacking in key areas, December 10, 2006
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii G-pak Console Organizer Case (Video Game)
This case for the Nintendo Wii has plenty of space but completely fails in key areas. I would have given this case 1 star, but I gave a star for the fact there is plenty of space for accessories.

Pros:
Plenty of room to store the Wii, accessories and 23 Games.
You could play the Wii straight from the case without removing it due to opening on the bottom of the case(*see cons)

Cons:
All your accessories are clumped together in a giant comparment, so you have a giant mess. It would be nice if they had individual sections for the accessories so they aren't banging around on each other.
The platform where the Wii sits on has no support in the middle, and there is some bend in the platform once you put the Wii in the case. I can see this completly bending. They need something in the middle of the platform, which would then also help for organization of your components.
Zipping and Unzipping the bag is a pain.
Playing from the case is kinda pointless because all you save is the fact that you don't have to remove the wii. Since all your accessories are clumped together, you have to remove everything else anyways.
