5.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect March 27, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
As of this writing the only place that sells this is online or gamestop (which is where I went to purchase this). With that said, unto the review.

For this review I will mention a few games since those games were used to test this product.

Synopsis:
First of all, I have to say I am glad NYKO has finally addressed the biggest complaint about the nunchuck, that is being attached to the remote and not being wireless. This product converts your existing nunchuck into a cord free unit. It is very easy to configure as all you need to do is get your nunchuck, slide it into place then coil the cord around until you finally connect it to the backside of the unit (just remember that when you are coiling to start from the bottom as it will bulge out a bit and you do not want it to bulge out on the top as you will need that space when you are connecting the unit, you won't understand what I am saying until you actually have the unit so keep this in mind). The unit itself is not heavy and it feels lighter than the remote. The power switch is located in the back and you put the batteries (2 AAA included) on the bottom of the unit.

Setup:
Turning on the unit is done by simply plugging in the small plug-in attachment to your Wii remote, power on the Wii remote then pressing the power button on the cord free attachment and that's all there's to it. Powering off is done by simply turning the remote power off (the cord free unit will blink a few times and then it will shut off altogether).

Testing the unit:
For this portion of the review I have used the following games:

Super Mario Galaxy: Though this isn't the best game to fully test the unit I tested it out to find out how easy it was to play this game.

2.0 out of 5 stars great for some games but not all April 28, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This is an excellent wireless. I was able to use it with relative ease. I had no cord to tangle up on and that helped a lot. I was always getting wipped by the cord flinging around.
The NEGATIVE part, You will not be about to use this wireless nunchuk with games like; Mario & Sonic olympic games or any game that requires punching or quick movements. the controller will not work for that and has a slight delay that is quite noticeable. It really sucks because I like the hands free and it works great with CRASH.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work with Wii Motion Plus September 8, 2009
By J. Marr
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
I purchased this so I could ditch the cord for games like Mad World and Wii Sports resort Archery, but when it came in I found that it does not work with Wii Motion Plus. You could possibly cut the tabs off of the Motion plus adapter and get this to fit. However seeing as this adapter costs less than the Wii Motion plus adapter I do not think that is the best choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect: It doesn't have a wrist strap April 16, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Pros:

- the solution for many games that require a lot of crazy movement when using both the wiimote and nunchuk (Wii Sports Boxing, Raving Rabids I and II, Super Mario Party...), though it doesn't really make a difference for games that dont' have crazy movement (Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda, ...)

- easy to setup

- reasonable price for backwards compatibility with existing nunchuks

Cons:

- Nyko is retarded for not building a wrist strap for this wireless add-on. This is a no-brainer given that the Wii is over a year old and that broken flat screen photos were wide spread. Yes, you hold the nunchuk differently but you should never underestimate the way people play games.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excelent Wireless Solutio for your Nunchuk May 13, 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
So first of all set-up is a breeze; Just put the nunchuk in the Cord-Free wrap the cord around and you're pretty much done. Turn the Wii on and the Cord-Free and you're ready to go.

I really like the way it feels in your hand. I have big hands and always thought the Nunchuk was too lite and this adds the extra weight I wanted. I feel like I have better control over it. I really recommend the Cord-Free the only down side is I have to buy batteries for it :(

3.0 out of 5 stars Does work but.... March 1, 2013
Verified Purchase
The product does work as described, however there is something to consider that has no been addressed that I feel made a huge difference in my decision to keep these. I ordered two of these, having only two Wii Remotes and two nunchuck controller. However, I recently upgraded from the Wii to the Wii U. Also consider that one of my remotes is a Wii Remote Plus. So with all of this in mind, here is what I have discovered about these products.

1. On the Wii, they work great for games that require nothing from the built Nunchuck gyroscope. This was tested on games like Metroid Prime Trilogy that only use the analog and buttons on the nunchuck. If you all you have is games like that then this is a great product to keep your nunchuck cords from fraying.

2. On regular Wii games like Twilight Princess or MadWorld or Wii Fit Plus that make use of the gyroscope of the nunchuck, there is a delay that is highly noticeable. A lot of times, especially in Twilight Princess, I would have to shake harder than usual and only in a certain direction in order to get a response. This is not acceptable to me when it comes down to split second timing but otherwise I can work past this issue since not many titles use the nunchuck gyroscope. This is just something I thought I would bring up for those who are looking for an honest opinion about the product.

3. Having one remote that is a Wii Remote Plus, I figured this accessory would work for it since it is built in as opposed to the Wii Motion Plus accessory that attaches to a Wii Remote. However, trying to play Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword it doesn't register at all with the attachment. Plus having a Wii U, it REQUIRES Wii Motion Plus or Wii Remote Plus for most of its Wii Remote functionality in games like Nintendo Land for example.
