4.0 out of 5 stars Weird Smell at Begining - Not too bad of a case
I purchased the case because it was metal and cheaper than others I perused - I found a screaming deal on another site.

Upon receiving and opening the case it was smelly. The smell did die down after a while to where it wasn't an issue but the delay was annoying. The Wii fits in snugly, I added a ribbon that I use to pull it out. Work very well. The case...

Most of the Wii-ing I do is not in my own home, so a case was an absolute must. I didn't choose the Nintendo Wii G-pak Console Organizer Case because I didn't like the idea of the peripherals rolling around in the larger compartment, and several reviewers mentioned that the "shelf" supporting the Wii had started to sag over time.

The Pro Gamer's case was said to be much sturdier, and that's been my experience so far. The dividers are nice and stiff, and the case itself is a light, yet tough metal that doesn't bend or dent easily. It would be perfect except for the fact that not everything fits.

Here's my rundown:
* the Wii has it's own compartment with a velcro strap, quite lovely
* below the Wii is a compartment which holds the stand and A/V cords, again, quite lovely
* to the right are two smaller, and one medium compartment - I put my two remotes each in a small compartment (so the buttons don't activate and drain the batteries), and in the medium compartment I put my two nunchuks (you could definitely fit more)
* the sensor bar is held in place by two elastic straps above the game case straps in the pro gamer case top

The one thing missing at this point? The power pack. Technically you could shoehorn it into the medium compartment, but at best the wires protruding from it are placed under great stress. It's the type of thing that I could see leading to a costly replacement down the line, so I'd rather not force it now. Quite a shame since the case is otherwise fantastic.

With some more time and tinkering I might get the power pack into the case, but for the time being I'm forced to carry it in a separate bag. So being, the Pro Gamer's case gets only three stars. (Four stars for fun since it's cute and not too heavy.)

The case does hold only two wii remotes and two nunchucks with the power cables etc. I felt the space was the same alloted by the Wii messenger bag. There are two features I really like, the location for the sensor bar has it out of the way and safe attached to the case cover above the games- the fragility of the bar has worried me. The second is that the Wii console is held in by Velcro. If the case does open the remotes may fall out but the console is held tight. I was not expecting to be able to hold 4 wii remotes nor was I expecting to hold oodles of games, therefore the case didn't disappoint. I like the metal construction, I feel I can load it in the car or take it on a plane and not have to worry about things smashing it. The case protects it very well. If you are going to be taking it out of the case multiple times a day it may not be the best thing. For me I like the case and the fact that the components don't move around like the G-Pak.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes It fits 4 controllers and 4 nunchucks!, May 25, 2007

I was looking for a case that would hold everything. All the reviews state that it fits maybe 2 controllers and nunchucks with the wii system and cords. Personally I have been able to fit 4 controllers, 4 Nunchucks, Wii system, power cord, a/v cables, sensor bar, and many games in a sleeve holder. As long as you can place everything in a space saving way you will definitelly be able to fit everything. I've done it many times, great case and a great price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice design, too small, May 6, 2007

I really wanted to like this case - it looks nice, and seems well designed. I need to move my Wii back and forth between a couple places, and settled on this after looking through the options on Amazon.

My complaint is with the size of the case. It's difficult to fit in just the basics (Wii, wiimote, nunchuck, cables) and there's not much room for extra controllers, etc. It would have been nice if they'd made it just a little bigger. I do like how well it holds the Wii itself.

Edit: 9 months after originally writing this review, my opinion is exactly the same: it works great for holding the Wii, but I'm forced to carry a second bag to hold the extra controllers so several people can play. (I also prefer not to force the power cable into it) If you're getting this, you'll want to also get a ribbon to put under the Wii console so you can get it out more easily; it fits very snugly. That is, in fact, why I continue using this case: the Wii is very well protected.

Edit 2 (June 2009): Last year I switched to the Wii G-Pack Console Organizer case and prefer it over this one; it does a lousy job of holding games, but a great job of holding everything else.

As to date this is the best case out there. I foresee company's making cases specific for the wii that will hold everything in a less haphazard way. But until then, this is the best.

This is a great case. It's dimensions are exactly the same as the Wii retail box. The picture from the retailer shows the case with a lock and mesh in the upper divide. It DOES NOT come with these items. I don't mind, but thought I'd let you know.

Here's what I was able to fit in: (everything I have for Wii)

In the main compartment:

Wii console
AV cables
AC power adapter
V.C. controller (1)
Nunchuck (1)
Console stand
Sensor bar mount
Games (4) (Read on to see how)

In the upper compartment:

Sensor Bar (Very secure)
Wii remotes (4)
V.C. controller (1)
Nunchuck (1)
I could probably fit one more Nunchuck...

I put 4 games in "slim disk" jewel cases and fit 3 of them on top of the console and one more on top of the AV cables.
Also, if you do not put in the console stand you can probably fit more nunchucks or V.C. contollers.

One will want to take out the batteries out of all controllers. When the buttons get pushed while in the case, the controller "looks" for a console. This can drain you batteries. There is room for the batteries in little knooks with the various cables. I don't see this as a flaw in the case, just an issue with the controllers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, solid case, July 13, 2007

I didn't want to run around with my Wii holding a cardboard box with the word Wii on it for the whole world to see, so I was looking for a sturdy, non-descript box to store my Wii, accessories, and games. Thus far, this box has done the job perfectly.
The aluminum means that it is heavier than expected, but it also means that it is sturdier. My PS2 is in a cloth-type bag and I'm always worried about it being crushed. With this Wii box, I don't have such worries.
I agree with other posters that it is a bit of a tight fit. When we first got it, we couldn't figure out how people had gotten everything to fit in. After playing around with it for a while, we found our own way of fitting everything in. It won't hold up after we get more games, but for now, it suits us and our needs perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wii Game Case, May 12, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii Pro Gamer's Case (Accessory)
Bought this case for my Wii Console and accessories everything fits perfectly, at least (2) controllers, (2) nunchuks, cords etc. They even designed a neat little place to protect the sensor bar to. Other reviews mentioned the case had a strong glue smell..well I didn't experience that - maybe a lite glue smell.. but what I didn't was leave the case open outside on the patio for a 1/2 day and that took care of that. Get this case you be pleased.

After looking over all the other reviews and getting the case, I was a little scared that this may not be the case for me. When ordered the case I also ordered a (Xbox 360 10 CD Aluminum Case) for the games. My thought was if I only want to take the games I could do that. This would also give me more room in the Wii case for everything, and I do mean everything! I was able to put the four Wii-motes and the motion bar in the top. Then that gave me enough room in the bottom to fit the Wii, power box, cables, and four nunchucks. I think this case along with the case for the games was the best thing I got for my Wii.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good item to have, May 9, 2007

This review is from: Wii Pro Gamer's Case (Accessory)
This case is very nice because it keeps my Wii secure from being joslded. I can fit 2 Wii remotes, 3 nunchuks, 1 classic remote, power cord, AV adaptor, Wii stand, 6 games in a game sleeve book (works best this way), the game instruction booklets, Wii remote sensor bar (this is very securelly strapped in). And its also nice because I don't have to worry when my toddler gets a hold of it. This case is very nice for keeping everthing secure and free from being knocked around. A must have for any parent or serious gamer.

Very snug fit, but seems to protect it well. If you put the Wii in the correct direction, it's really not hard to get it back out. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
