5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, but seems to have loose connection.
So far it works great, except that you often have to move/jiggle the cable to get it to make contact for all of the charging bays. You have to remove the gel sleeves and the motion-plus attachment, but not the wrist strap. We've found that if you just pull the wrist strap up tightly and place the wii-mote in the charging bays the contact is almost always good to go.

But,as others have mentioned it is tied to the Wii unit so it has to sit by it. The lights on it are REAL bright providing a distraction all the time. My main gripe is if you power down the Wii you also power down the recharger so you pretty much need to leave your Wii on all the time if you want charged controllers. I wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't recommend it, but I ain't going through the hassle of sending it back.

First of all, if you use the silicone cover on your Wii controllers you have to take it off to charge it. I was very aggravated by this.
Second the thing is powered via USB port which means you have to hook it up to a computer or the Wii system itself. I bought this product thinking I could plug it into the wall and keep it next to my sofa but no, I have to keep it by the computer instead.
Finally to top it off one of the ports does not work very well. I had to jiggle the controller around in it to get it to charge and it frequently would loose connection.
After a couple of days with this product the faulty port stopped working entirely leaving me with three charge ports and four controllers so I gave up and returned it.

Awesome addition to our Wii set up. Great for 4 person use.

Cons: USB designed to connect to back of Wii for charging...but only charges remote when Wii is ON. I bought a wall plug adapter at Radio Shack with 4 USB connectors ($19.95) to accomodate this issue. Maybe a "wall plug to USB" adapter should be included in this kit.

We purchased this charger for the kids for Christmas, and after letting all of our wii conrollers charge for a full 12-14 hours, found that the batteries, on average, only lasted about 3-4 hours each before running out. We also found the charge times were approximately 6-8 hours when we had to recharge (which seemed like a very long time). We also were dissapointed in the battery 'fit' to the back of the controllers. Once in, they were very difficult to get out. We're going to re-read the directions tomorrow to make sure we're not doing something wrong, and if we determine that we are using the device correctly, we will be sending these back and asking for a refund.

Don't waste your Money. It's far better to buy rechargeable batteries (2100mAh +) and a battery charger instead of this charge station. Here is why:

1. Who wants to stop using the Wiimote while the batteries are recharging? The charge station requires that you let the control into the station while the batteries are recharging so you can't use another couple of extra batteries.

2. Each battery comes in their own mold so you can't use the original Wiimote battery cover which is made of superior quality. And no to mention that if you have a black Wiimote the whole aspect of the control will be ruined by the white mold.

3. The station comes with no AC adapter. You have to plug it to a USB and the lights of the station are annoying. Also forget about buy a "Mini USB charger" because the plug in the station is not "Mini USB".

4. You have to force the batteries mold into the Wiimote and despite of this, the batteries lose constantly contact with the control. I had to use foil paper in the Wiimote battery contacts to "solve" this problem.

5. The batteries lose their charge pretty quick. I think that 1800mAh means 900mAh x 2 batteries.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY - MAY RUIN WII, October 19, 2010

After owning this product for less than a year it has completely fried my Wii Console. After calling Nintendo, they informed me that it is an unauthorized accessory and has been known to damage consoles. Luckily, they are going to repair (with a fee of course, as my Wii is older an no longer under warranty.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANY OTHER CTA PRODUCT AS THEY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED WII ACCESSORY VENDORS!

I had the double charger and gave it to my nephews who had only two controllers, we have 6. However this particular station, one of the ports did not work correctly and one of the batteries seemed to be old like it had begun to expand from heat or age or something! It didn't actually work correctly. I didn't notice till after my daughter had put it on the controller and then we couldn't get the thing off! Unfortunately ( or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it) for us, the whole thing was stolen in a break- in after having it less than a month. I didn't get the chance to send it back. So I am now going to just go by the real Wii version.

4.0 out of 5 stars That's some Indicator Light..., December 30, 2009

The batteries and charger work for us. I do, however, have a couple gripes:
1. The indicator light is RIDICULOUSLY bright blue and runs around the entire station (though I guess I'm glad it's there at all).
2. I'm not too thrilled with the fact that the charger hooks up via USB cable and the Wii has to be on to charge the controllers. It would be wise to purchase a USB Wall AC Charger (so you can plug it into a wall).
3. Packaging doesn't tell you how long it takes for the initial charge. We figured out that a full charge on the new battery packs takes about 4 hours.
Good buy though! Can't beat the price.

**EDIT 2/25/2010**
At times it is difficult to tell whether or not the Wii motes are actually charging. We've noticed that if they are not sitting perfectly in the holster, they do not charge. However, it looks like they have a complete charge because the red indicator light has gone off--In reality the connection has just come loose from who knows what. There is nothing that clips the controllers into the charging station; you just have to set them on (loosely) and hope they stay put. At times the wrist strap gets in the way... I guess it's not a huge deal, but it can be a pain to have to remove the straps each and every time you want to charge the controller(s). We haven't really had any problems running out of batteries because there is never really a time when all four controllers are being used at once. If you are someone who is going to use all four controllers for an extended period of time, you very well could have problems!
