Wii Rayman Raving Rabbids Plunger Gun

I have to admit I have yet to use the Perfect Shot which is the golden standard of wii gun shells so I dont know how this compares. However, I found the Rabbid plunger gun to be an exceptional accessory. It felt just a tad bit top heavy, but I got used to this very quickly. The gun shell allows for use of the wiimote (sans the rubber jacket and wristband) and the nunchuck (which has to be held in your other hand) and works well with all of the zapper compatible games I've tried it with. The gun feels comfortable and does indeed make shooting games more fun (the only exception being the slow paced FPS minigames in Rabbids TV Party).

If you have the rabbid games, or a looking for a gun shell with some personality I cannot recommend this enough. It functions exceptionally, and feels great.

Bought this as an accessory gift to go along with "Rabbids Go Home" for my sister-in-law. Why is it that sister-in-laws are so difficult to shop for? Her recent purchase of the Wii consul, after playing mine made this tremendously easy this time. She is very girly like and totally loves animals. It was just a perfect match.

The Plunger Gun is an absolute must when playing the game. Those little Rabbids are a hoot and having the gun, although not really needed, really makes you feel like being a part of the game and therefore an absolute. When your pushing your stolen loot down the toilet, especially the XL stuff, sometimes it might get stuck. The game itself is ridiculously hilarious and will have you laughing off your rocker. We spent hours on Christmas playing the game and the Plunger Gun made it all the more lively. Makes a great conversation piece also, especially when left on the coffee table.

A couple of things you should know though and why I only gave it a four star rating. In most of the game there are times you need the A button so holding the gun makes this a bit awkward, especially since the nunchuck is required. Also make sure the Wii remote is firmly in place and fits correctly or the B button, which is accessed through a spring loaded trigger will not work correctly. Even after readjusting several times, sometimes we had to press the trigger repeatedly to get it to work. In the middle of a game when you are stripping a human down to their underwear, while pushing a shopping cart of stolen loot on a conveyor belt, while dodging cactus plants, and having to avoid getting eaten by a ferocious, killer Dachshund, having a trigger that does not work will take precious moments off the clock and get you killed. Rabbids do not like to die, they just want to party and the moon is the perfect place after all for a party.

The numchuck fits nicely in place through the pistol grip, but you do need to squeeze it in tight if you keep the wrist strap on. Personally I don't like having to take anything apart to make something else work, especially since I play a lot of other games. Now the gel case will not fit on it if using the Plunger Gun, but that's one thing I don't use anyway, but you should be aware in case you do as you will need to remove it. I think the BEST feature is the ability to customize your Wii remote to save on wrist strain, but even more importantly to fit nicely into the game.

Overall a great addition, but just a few shortcomings that bring it down a star. Not perfect, but when playing the game for hours you tend to forget all about those little issues. Highly recommended and will bring hours and hours of Plunger Gun Fun. Enjoy your trip to the moon.

Rayman Raving Rabbids is arguably the funnest game on the Wii console. The gameplay is great, the scenarios are hilarious, and the implementation of the Wii controller interface is top rate.

Who wouldn't love a game where you shoot your enemies with toilet plungers?

So if you're a fan and already have the game, then you need to step up to the next level and outfit yourself with a plunger pistol controller cover. The plunger gun is fun and is the perfect companion for the game.

The only downside is that it's kind of a hassle to install and remove the controller from this accessory. But that's no different than any other controller accessory (like the Guitar Hero guitar).

This gun is a campy, fun addition to the Raving Rabbids game for the Wii, but suffers from two flaws. One, it is a bit cumbersome to insert and remove the Wii remote and two (and in my view somewhat more severe) there is no gun-like control of the reload button! The second drawback means that during play you have to basically hold the gun with two hands, one to operate the trigger, and the other holding the "barrel" so you can press the A button that is exposed on the top side - I use my thumb - to reload your plunger! As this is designed as a pistol it makes aiming somewhat cumbersome, although it does not affect game results too much due to on-screen indicator of aiming location. Single handed operation of the wii without the optional gun is likely to be slightly more accurate and efficient for most users, but not as campy or fun.

I bought the piece for my sister. She loves the game, I figured the the accessory would be a great idea.

The is an amazing replica of the toilet plunger gun used by Rayman. The Wiimote and nunchuck fits into it perfectly. Unfortunately it is a little awkward and front heavy when in use with the game. When you are doing really fast moves, it is impossible to shake it rapidly. Even with it's faults, it is a great addition to my Raving Rabbids gear and I will use it for the target shooting scenes in the games. If you are a dedicated Rayman Raving Rabbids fan, this is a great item!

Product has 2 pictures that show one without a space on top to insert a Wii controller and the other one has slot. My son got the one with a slot but wanted the one without a slot so bad that he bugs me constantly when he is reminded of it!
