I bought this for $20 elsewhere and am not convinced I got my money's worth. It is inconvenient to use and ineffective. The biggest gripe for me is that I have to take the rubber protective cover off the remote every time I want to charge it. I also have to fiddle with it quite a bit once it is in the station to ensure the safety strap isn't in the way. This wouldn't be such a big deal if the rechargeable battery held its charge for awhile but I find that the controller only holds its charge for about an hour of game play before it dies. This is certainly inconvenient if you are planning on having friends over and playing for longer durations of time. I also am not sure I understand the purpose of having the charger glow as the light does not change from red to another color when it is fully charged. I also find myself nervous to leave the remote charging for too long at a time since the instructions state that if I leave it unattended in the charging base for an extended period of time the batteries or unit may overheat and I will need to discontinue use. First off, "extended period of time" is very vague. Is that a day? A week? A month? It's hard to know. Not to mention discontinue use of what? Will overheating render just the batteries useless or the entire remote control as well. If it's the latter I would rather not take my chances since the charge has a short life as it is. Such a bummer because I was excited to get this at $20, but even if I had gotten it at the lower price advertised here I would still not have gotten my money's worth.

You cannot charge with Big plastic bumper guards but I didn't expect it to be able to.

Con- the Wrist strap (maybe its just mine) but I have to remove them for it to charge.

But if thats all I have to do to save on Battery life I am greatly appreciative!

The charging station is great, different colored led lights to tell wheather its charging or not. Nice blue lighting especially if you have the matching blue led base for the wii. Sometimes a little tricky to get it to start charging if the wrist strap is on, it pushes up on the remote and may not make contact with the base.

This set of controllers/charging station *work*, but they only hold a charge for about an hour before dying. Worth the $10 I paid for them, but not a penny more. You're better off buying a set of rechargeable AAs

This thing has a terrible design flaw... the battery charger receiving metal things that are supposed to receive the charge from the charger do not line up with each other, and the only way they could is instead of putting the wiimote with the battery pack in the normal way, the only way it would work would be to lift it up and hold it there for a while

It's frustrating when you order something and it doesn't work. After taking both grip covers off and both wrist straps off, neither remote would charge for more than an instant. The light changes to red (indicating charge) for an instant then back to blue. Charged them well over 12 hours, can't get more than 1 bar on remote, and voltage doesn't exceed 2.8 VDC. Messed with it for quite a while and cannot find any position where the remote will sit and charge.

Others are happy - I am not. Return shipping cost is not worth it so it's going in the garbage.

After we bought the wii guns from amazon we decided to find a charging station for our remotes. WE LOVE RECHARGABLE BATTERIES!!! So we found these @ a great price and tried it out. WE NEVER RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER NOW. THANKFULLY!

When I put in the rechargeable batteries one of them fell apart before even one use.

After 6 months both batteries did not hold the charge, and were constantly recharging! I would not buy it again, but just use high quality standard rechargeable batteries.

I bought this charger for a mere $4 and some change when it was on sale! It was worth every penny and then some! The kids know when the remotes are charged and remember to put them back! The color change in the LED from red to blue is wonderful!I know other reviews say that the batteries don't keep a charge, but we have had it now for 6mos. and it still works perfectly! Hope it goes on sale for that cheap of a price again soon!
