***THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT INCLUDE A RECHARGING CABLE. THIS CONTROLLER RUNS ON 2 AAA BATTERIES***
First off ill say that im very happy with my purchase. The controller connects wirelessly and speedily with the Wii console, and even have a functional power button (for the Wii) and a 'Home' button. The features are not like somthing id expect from a 3rd party manufacturer. Unlike other reviewers, i have had 0 problems with the controller in the realms of SSBB (Brawl) or Mario Kart. I bought this several months ago, and it still works 100%. Connection is flawless and i have never had it randomly disconnect during gameplay. One odd thing is that the controller fails to power up if your batteries are less than full of charge. Now, while this controller is a great little device, it suffers from a major design flaw. It is NOT compatible with 100% of all VC games. Ill repeat, it does not work with the majority of older VC games. Example: Super Mario Bros doesnt work at all. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina works well, but as soon as you press the Home button it freezes. I dont know what exactly is the date cut off that works with the controller, but id guess anything after the second half of 07 should work, since my Super Metroid works like a charm. Overall i would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone angered/annoyed by the classic controllers wires. It functions perfectly, with the exception of that one flaw. But that could be the most important thing, its up to you and your VC library.

When it does come down to Nintendo's Virtual Console for the Wii, there have been companies that have made different controllers that would work for the system. Sadly though, for Datel, they've offered to make a wireless connection for the Nintendo Wii with their Retro Wireless Controller. This device, which was made specifically for the virtual console, on the Wii, doesn't work that well after a few uses on the system. Not only that, but it doesn't respond well to Wii games that run on with the classic controller like Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart Wii. It is very sad that Nintendo did make a wireless classic controller overseas, but not planning on releasing the controller for Wii gamers in the U.S. I think it honestly would've been a better bet as a buy for Wii owners here.

This product is a wonderful way to enjoy classic games from Super Nintendo(such as Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and many others), without the hassle of tripping over cords, maintaining more than one gaming console, or having to blow into the cartridge. The Retro Wireless controller connects to your Wii, and you can purchase classic games to play with it on the Wii Shop Channel. You can not only use this controller to play games that were originally on Super Nintendo, but also games from other consoles such as Nintendo 64. Makes a great addition to any household gaming room. Takes AAA batteries and does not currently have a charging station. I recommend a battery charger and rechargeable batteries.
