This is a good idea there just isn't much you can do with it. It's great to use with wii sport resort but I haven't figured out how it can be compatible with wii fit plus. Otherwise, there really isn't much else you can use it with. I'll try it with Jillian Micheals game and let you know, otherwise, it is not worth the price.

This thing has to be a joke right?Thought I would give it a try. It said it was for Wii fit, it's not. Now that I have it in my possession the box says it works with Wii fit plus or Wii sports resort. I don't have either, and after reading about them I don't see why I would waste my money just to be able to use the rower. Neither game in their description even mentions a rowing program. The rowers tension knob barely increases the tension. My one year old can pull it. The description also doesn't mention Wii motion plus, a little gizmo that attaches to the Wii remote. It is in the picture, but until I was trying to figure out how to use this thing I had never heard of it.

It was supposed to be compatible with WII Fit Plus but I haven't figured it out. I bought the motion plus to go with it and still have not been able to use it. Do I have to shell out for the 'Resort' disc now?? What a waste of money!

The was probably the worst product I ever purchased. I wish I had read the reviews first before purchasing. The product was supposed to be compatible with Wii Fit Plus but I could not find any rowing game on the console. There was no tension in the cord even at its highest level. I would not recommend anyone purchasing this.

I bought this Wii rower for my daughter who is a sculler on her crew team at school. I figured it would be a decent workout for her upper body during the winter.......NOT! It's not compatable with Wii Fit Plus like they say and Wii Resort only has a canoe game with side to side rowing. That's funny because the picture on the box has a woman rowing like a sculler. False advertising! I absolutely regret buying this and you will too. Don't buy this product.

Bought this for Wii Fit Plus. The Wii Fit Plus does not offer any rowing exercises. I guess it is supposed to add tension to other excercises, but it does not. The product itself is terrible. The handle does not offer any tension at all even on the heaviest level. You might as well just move your hands back and forth. Putting it back in the box and returning tomorrow.

Every bad review you've read is true. I tried for hours to find a game suitable to use this rower with in Wii Fit Plus and there isn't one. I see here that everyone says there is one with the Sports Resort so I'm going to look there. The tension doesn't increase enough for a real workout and without a sliding seat, it's not really a rower. Don't waste your money. Buy a rowing machine or just stick with the Wii game and platform.

We bought the CTA Rowing Machine, started our Wii Fit Plus game, plugged the Wii remote into the rowing device per instructions....and nothing. No rowing game appeared. We searched and tried different menus and still nothing. We gave up and returned this piece of junk. We recommend you avoid this useless device.

My wife and I bought this along with the Wii fit plus. The Wii Fit Plus has no rowing that we could find. If you have the sports resort disc it looks like it works with that one.

How can it be rowing machine w/ fixed seat?,
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii Rowing (Accessory)
I'm a rower. I'm looking at this product and I don't understand how it can simulate rowing if the seat isn't on a slide. The video shows kayaking. That and paddling a canoe you can do with a fixed seat. But I don't see how you can row in a fixed seat. There's really no such thing as rowing without using your legs. From the other reviews, it seems there are many other problems with this product. I hope they eventually do add a rowing exercise to the Wii Fit, and this "rowing machine" accessory will come with wheels to put under the balance board. That would help simulate actual rowing, because you could push off the footboard to move the balance board/seat backwards. |
