better than knock-off products,

I bought an off-brand shooting adapter for wii games and it lasted about 6 hours before the trigger broke. This has a much more solid construction. The sights work great and the various ways to utilize the product make it wonderful for different types of games. I read the review about needing the screwdriver to take the nunchuk in and out - that is simply not the case - just apply a little pressue and it snaps in and out just fine.

It looks cool and it's also sturdy, but I'm afraid the winning qualities end there. My use of this accessory isn't extensive since I've only played "House of the Dead - Overkill" and "Dead Rising - Chop Till You Drop," but based on the game play the aiming and enabling of guns as secondary weapons was a painful task. In Dead Rising the guns were secondary weapons and could only be enabled by depressing and holding the primary trigger with your index finger, aim, and then fire the weapon by depressing the secondary trigger with your middle finger. I'm not a guitar player, so this isn't an easy exercise to continue doing time after time during an hour of game play. In the end I just discarded the item and played without this accessory at all.
My suggestion is not to cave to impulse and buy one of these. Use the Wii remote exclusively. Think about it; Nintendo has spent tons of money in R&D trying to find the most comfortable grip to allow you to potentially play addictive games for hours. These companies that have come out with these accessories spend much less in R&D and rely on flash instead of function to sell their products. If you're still set on purchasing a Wii gun, make sure to try a friend's gun before you buy (if possible).

The Short - Move on and keep looking
The Long: Just RMA'ed. I was looking at all the current options and wanted an all-in-one gun... This seemed to be the perfect fit. Well they made it look pretty but forgot the most important thing -- Making it functional. You are supposed to be able to work the A and B buttons from this gun - NOPE! The A button was either away pressed (or the slider just didn't slide) and the B button only worked some of the times. Just so you know I bought two - both had the same issues. My controllers would not fit either; I could not snap the controller down tight - poor design issue. When I would move the gun down (to crouch in a game) the controller would fly out. Very unsafe. I cannot say enough bad stuff - I'm really frustrated. Glad Amazon had no issue with returning. I would mention they should just pull it from the site.
