4.0 out of 5 stars Good, not great.
Has a heavy solid feel to it and the trigger is a bit stiff out of the box. I found that if you open the gun up and add lubricant to the area that allows parts to slide more freely, you can make the trigger a little smoother. Without these modifications, it become tiring and a chore to play light gun games. The product itself however is built pretty well aside from the...

1.0 out of 5 stars I really tried to like this gun.
I was excited and really wanted this gun. The product looks very nice, however does not function well. I have tried it repeatedly and the targeting jumps around on screen not allowing for an accurate shot. The lazer sight is a blob of red on the t.v. which is more distracting than usefull. You also have to hold the button down for the lazer to stay on so very...

I was excited and really wanted this gun. The product looks very nice, however does not function well. I have tried it repeatedly and the targeting jumps around on screen not allowing for an accurate shot. The lazer sight is a blob of red on the t.v. which is more distracting than usefull. You also have to hold the button down for the lazer to stay on so very impractical. Finaly there is a long delay from the time you pull the trigger until it reacts in game. It is really too bad I very much wanted a realistic looking gun to play Wii shooting games but unfortunatly this is not the one. I have returned mine, maybe someone else will have better luck but be careful.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Shot Gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, August 25, 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii Shot Gun (Accessory)
Look no further for a Wii shot gun it's a lot easier and satisfying to play shooting games with this shot gun. The quality of this particular shotgun is top notch probably the best on the market. Very much like being at the arcade. I hope more light gun games come out for the Wii because this thing makes the it feel like a true arcade experience. The gun makes shooting games much more involving and realistic than playing with just the remote. This is a great accessory. I bought this shotgun for myself and my girl friend is freaking out. She just doesn't want to stop playing with my gun.

O M G. This thing is great! Can I give it six stars? I can't? Forget it! SIX FREAKING STARS!

All the problems with the other gun shells have been fixed. Laser pointer eliminates the need to give you an aiming reticule. Size allows a good aim and the leverage to avoid jerking while pulling the trigger. Weight is good and convincing. Balance is beautiful. Don't know how long these are going to stay in stock; I plan to buy a few as Xmas presents.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Tjis item is definately appropriate for some gsames I'm sure. It is very close to actual gun size, that being said certain "touchy" games are difficult to tackle such as 007 Quantum of Solace and Resident Evil 3 as the length gets somewhat awkward working toward a disadvantage trying to stay steady for a very long period of time. Also as a previous review mentioned "the laser shined as a blob on the wall" which was true to mine , but they did not menton that this is caused by the laser not sitting squarely in the end of the gun so when adding the barrel to the end of the gun the laser then angles off toward the side of the barrel before exiting. This is an easy fix: loosen the front 4 phillps screws half-way, then seperate the halves very slightly, then insert a toothpick to one side or the other that's determined which side the laser is pointing towrd but just insert a small bit, then retighten the 4 screews and shine the laser, if it's still a blob then repeat the previous steps. A few tries and you'll have it dialed in. I gave this 4 stars because it is a good weight, good plastic, attractive realistic design, and accomodates wii remote with wrist strap attached. I'm sure games such as the new Duck Hunt and that style would be a great combination with this item. Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for Cabela's game, January 27, 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii Shot Gun (Accessory)
I bought this gun to use with the Cabela's Big Game, but it is not easy to use with the game. We ended up playing without the gun because it is hard to access all of the controls with the gun and you can't even aim and shoot it like a real gun, which really just defeats the whole purpose of using it in the first place. Overall, I would not recommend buying it, at least not for the Cabela's game. Maybe it works better with different games.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Product, January 1, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wii Shot Gun (Accessory)
This gun looks and feels great! Much better than the wii zapper from nintendo. The only problem is that the trigger gets stuck. It was a quick fix though, i just removed the connecting screws and stretched out the spring inside. After putting back the stretched spring, the trigger was much better. Good product, would have been great if the trigger didnt need modification.
