I bought two of these Wii Wand Action Paks and I couldn't be more happy. The 'Pak' is really a gun attachment that comes with a complete Nyko (3rd party) Wii remote. The battery cover comes off of the remote and the remote snaps into the gun attachment and the rear connector slides into the back of the remote. There are two buttons on the gun; a trigger and a cocking mechanism. These two buttons electornically interface with the Wii remote and take the place the A and B buttons. There's also a switch on the bottom of the gun that let's you swap the A and B usage. After assembling and calibrating the Wii Wand Action Paks, they played like a dream. This is possibly the best single-handed gun solution for the Wii. I've tested them with Sega's House Of The Dead 2+3 and can safely say that it's now more comfortable to play, as opposed to using the Wii remote as a light gun on its own, or using cheap plastic attachments that make a gun out of the Wii remote and the Nunchuck. With everything included in this package, the price is actually very decent. The Nyko Wands can even be used as stand-alone Wii remotes. Also, the gun supports connecting the Wii Nunchuck.

I've tried all the major pistol attachments for the Wii, including the original Nyko Perfect Shot and the Resident Evil Blaster, and this one easily takes the cake.
For merely $10, not only do you get a gun attachment, but you also get a Wiimote. That in itself is a steal. The Wiimote that it comes with, attaches perfectly to the pistol. This is a vast improvement over the Perfect Shot, which offered a Wiimote slot so cramped, it was nearly impossible to snap in the Wiimote. Over time, your Wiimote would get dinged up, and the connector on the pistol attachment would dislodge with use. Another major improvement, is the trigger-pulling mechanism. Unlike the Perfect Shot and RE Blaster, the trigger is actually a button that you pull, as opposed to an apparatus that hooks up with the "B" button on your Wiimote. In other words, pulling the trigger on this gun, is just as comfortable as pushing the "B" button on a nude Wiimote. This means you can fire away, just as rapidly with the pistol, as you can with a nude Wiimote. You don't face the same resistant, sluggish trigger featured on every other gun attachment for the Wii. All the praise aside, there's one aspect of the gun, that I believe is a downgrade from the Perfect Shot. And that's the trigger placement and handle size. The trigger is closer to the handle, and the handle is considerably smaller. I can literally form a fist, even with my index finger wrapped around the trigger. This sorta kills the "authenticity" of holding a real pistol, which sports a bigger handle and trigger that is meant to be pulled with the tip of your fingers. And that is why I can't give this gun the full "5 Stars." I felt the Perfect Shot's handle and trigger placement was just right. Then again, I'm a six-foot tall guy, so perhaps my hands are larger than the average Joe and Jane, although I never considered my hands to be that large, considering my size. I usually wear size Large gloves, so I know plenty of people with hands much larger than mine (XL, XXL, etc), so this pistol would be way too undersized for them. At this point, I'm firing the gun, like I'm clenching my index finger... as opposed to pulling the trigger with my finger tips, like a real gun. I wish in the future, the companies would incorporate different sized handles that can be attached/detached to accomodate the general public, as opposed to just the grade school kids, women, or guys with small hands. So in that regard, I would say this gun is perfect for those with glove sizes in the Small to Medium range. For those with Large-sized hands, I would proceed with caution, because for the most part, you'll be using the gun like me. If you wear XL gloves, just stick to a nude Wiimote. Companies are not paying such physical demographic, any attention at this point.

These are AWESOME! Sure there are some bad reviews on these, but I think these people may have got the bad apples out the bunch. I love them, they were cheaper then the Nintendo brand, and they just feel better in my hand. The rubber grip, the buttons, the weight, it all just feels better then the Nintendo brand. Plus, the ones I got, came in a kit which had the gun accessory and protection guard. All this and it still was much cheaper then the Nintendo brand controller by itself. These are a GREAT. 5 stars from me!!!

While the wiimote or wand doesn't fit completely into the gun it's a great buy as dead space wouldn't work with the perfect shot but does with this. The perfect shot only allowed for the B trigger to be pulled whereas this has the
ability to press either A or B . B is still the gun trigger while A is on the back of the gun. Out of the box A and B were reversed but there's a blue button under the gun where you plug in the numchuck that can be slid putting B on the trigger and A on the other button-personally i don't know why it wasn't set to that out of the box. Unlike the perfect shot you need to remove the battery cover as this new gun becomes the cover-i would've liked to simply put the whole remote in the gun like the perfect shot but again dead space won't work with the perfect shot but will with this new gun-it supports their trans port tech allowing both A and B to be used without being pressed. Also the gun extends so you can lay the wiimote on it then you need to push the gun back so the port on the wiimote is connected to the gun port. GREAT BUY.

Good price, nice looking. The remote is great. Gun is not working with all games I have. I'm using rechargeable batteries attached to the cover, so it's very annoying to take it off and replace with regular batteries, because in the gun you need to put remote without cover.

Bought it for the gun attachment - disappointed because Wii remotes are not designed to point precisely at the screen like an arcade light gun. Oh well, decent controller. Vibrating Kama is cool.

Hello All,
I had to return this one. As many have advised, the IR for this wand is totally unreliable. I really wanted this to work as I totally love the idea behind the port, so A and B can be digitally mapped to the gun grip sold under the "action package". However, the regular wand that came with the grip, and the wand + have the IR issue. To be more specific the reticule will bounce around the screen, move erratically to a corner or disappear completely. Some games will not be affected as severally as others. For example, I don't notice this to much for the house of dead, however is horrible for metroid, read steel, resident evil wii edition, and to be honest... the only one that works so so, will be the house of dead, any other game is barely unplayable. You may ask... If I had such a bad experience with the first one, why buy the wand +? Because I was really hoping that it was an issue isolated to the specific controller than came in the package. The concept behind the "Trans-Port technology" is amazing; having no mechanical parts, just a digital signal going from the grip to the wand is an amazing idea. Conclusion: Sadly... It doesn't work, don't buy it.

Purchased this product, and ultimately had to return it. While it was a great idea to have the buttons correspond to the trigger's on the gun, it wasn't practical for many button layout games. Also, the controller dropped connection right in the middle of games at times. I was excited for it, and now I'm glad I was able to return it.

Enjoyed this gun so much with the first one I bought a couple months ago that I just bought a second one for multi-player games. It's much better feeling than the zapper and the integration of the remote into the gun is better than the Perfect Shot.
