3.0 out of 5 stars Wii Wired Sensor Bar Ok October 19, 2008

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
price is unbeatable but its the performance. The original Wii sensor bar worked alot better and had better range. This one is good but not as good as the original. Thats what you get when your pets chew through the first one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good replacement for original bar November 22, 2008

This is as close to the original bar as you can get without buying a refurbished one straight from Nintendo (and at a higher price). I had to replace it twice after my cat discovered how fun it is to chew the cord. The only real complaint I have about it is that I wish they could thicken the cord on it. It seems like a lot of people have pets or vaccuum cleaners eat it. I also have to put the sensor bar on a stand and on top of a book so it can sense my remote correctly, but I had the same problem with the original one too so I think half of that is a problem with the controller itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just like the original July 30, 2009

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Like many folks, I needed to get a replacement Sensor Bar after the one that came with my Wii got chewed up.

I waffled between getting this one and the Wii Wireless Sensor Bar, but some of the bad reviews for that one, specifically how people have had trouble with the wireless bar sensing their Wii remote, and the batteries required as well as a separate on/off switch, made me decide on this one here.

This Sensor Bar is almost an exact duplicate of the original Wii Sensor Bar. It does come with a small plastic stand, basically a small u-shaped piece of plastic turned on its side. I'm not sure why this was even included, as it serves no purpose and I can think of is maybe it was necessary to alter the "official" Wii design somewhat for copyright considerations.

Other than that, this Sensor Bar works great! A decently-priced replacement for those who lose their original Sensor Bar!

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect May 26, 2009

I destroyed my original wii sensor because I tried to splice on an extension cord. When that didn't work, I bought an inTech wireless unit. I suffered with it for over a year. I finally got smart and purchased this unit along with a 15' extension cord. I now enjoy smooth gameplay for the first time. Looks just like the factory. No setup required.

Old sensor bar wire broke when moving. Purchased wireless sensor bar, but it would run through batteries every other day. Purchased original wired sensor bar and it is the best.

Works just like the one that come with the console. Purchased it to avoid detaching the other sensor when traveling with Wii. Probably the only thing Wii makes under [...] bucks.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not nearly as good as original bar August 4, 2011

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
First and original bar was killed by new kitten, it had a range of about 12 feet. I purchased 2 of these because the price was low. Both have a really poor range of 6 feet max (I measured), then immediately are out of range. Considering the price, these must be made with poor quality IR diodes. Off to find another model, even if it takes batteries. Definitely wouldn't purchase these again.

5.0 out of 5 stars works well
I bought this to replace the sensor that came with the Wii, which I lost during a move. It works just as well as the Nintendo ones, at less cost. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
Works as well as the original, just remember if you are prone to static electricity, find something else to discharge yourself on before you adjust the sensor bar.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than wireless
Bought this since the wireless on was a waste of money. Needed reliablity and this was the key. Not everything shoudl be wireless' this proved that to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rare time that plugged in is better than wireless.
Our wireless bar would run out of batteries quickly and even with fresh batteries, would have trouble working. No problems now with the plugged in sensor bar.
