The Rig is the Ultimate Weapon,

This game has a cool weapon called the Rig that lets you grab your enemies and then stick them into the traps that they set for YOU. This was also the team that made the first Earthworm Jim game, it was also one of my favorites. It's a completely unique way to play a game like this. I had LOTS of fun with it. If you like Action games, then check it out!

Laugh Out Loud and Stomp Those Baddies,

Though most of the puzzles are not mind-boggling, the game is still challenging; especially on the "hard" difficulty where your death comes after about two blows (Yikes!) The soundtrack is very good (the company must agree, because you can pop this baby into your cd player), the action is entertaining and humorous, and the graphics, which may not be the best, are still past satisfactory. So if you want have some fun, get Wild 9.

An overrated and repetitive platformer,

I buy every platformer that comes out for the Playstation and I must admit that I found this one to be rather disappointing. Given the amount of hype generated about this title by Dave Perry, president of Shiny Entertainment, I expected something extraordinary. The game does include unusual elements, like the Rig, and finding ways to torture your enemies is an interesting twist. The graphics are good and the sound is OK, although you'll find yourself tiring of the guitar riffs rather quickly. I found the gameplay to be repetitive and the game itself is short by today's standards. The gameplay is very similar to 2.5D platformers like Pandemonium, but not nearly as fun or immersive. Worth picking up if you're a Dave Perry fan. Otherwise, I'd recommend sticking to the truly classic platform games like Klonoa or the Crash Bandicoot series.

I found this game in 2008 at a store that sells products for a dollar, in general. Bored, I figured "why not, i like old games". I didn't really play it until about a year and a half later, but I remember seeing this printed in a magazine as one of those "underrated" games. First off, this game is hilarious. The visuals are typical ps1 graphics and on the back of the jewel case it says something along the lines of "battle the biggest boss in videogame history, his face is the size of new york!" which of course is entirely false. He's probably three times the size of the main character and his face is in direct proportion to the rest of his body.
The jokes in the booklet are funnier than anything in the game. They flesh out the cast of characters in what appears to be a saga of epic proportions, but once you play the game, you simply guide these characters around making sure they don't fall off of cliffs and the sort. Here's an excerpt for "Crystal"(one of the most annoying levels in the game involves her, but in a old school tough love kinda way): "In a fight, Crystal moves with unerring accuracy, while her hair belts out wild Bruce Lee-ish battle-cries. But mostly the hair just pigs out and snores and drools, um...eats and sleeps." There's also the insane pilot with a pet lizard named "Dr. Rasponovich" whom he "holds him against his ear, awaiting brilliant psychiatric advice." Another character "Pokkit" has a better description: "If pokkit went to high school, the caption under his yearbook photo would read; "Most Likely to Die Sad and Alone". This stuff would make for a great comic book or a cheesy AS tv show, but none of these characters have much (if anything) to do with the gameplay. If you find the urge to play old school side scroller games, this one offers different elements than the usual bandihoots and purple dragon escapades. But my favorite element (besides the booklet) is the music, which is apparently done by a band called "sonic mayhem". It's industrial to the tune of Nine Inch Nails and Stabbing Westard or something similiar. A VERY cool bonus is that the ps1 disc doubles as a soundtrack allowing you to listen to the music tracks (as well as some of the orchestra tracks). I couldn't find any info about the band "sonic mayhem" so they obviously didn't make it. Oh well.

This game isn't very good.,

This game was supposed to be really good. I had seen it in stores many times and had thought about getting it, but wasn't sure. But when I went to my friends house he had it, and I played. DISSAPOINTING. This really isn't as good as it was supposed to be. Sure it is fun torturing your enemies, but it gets old. And it is pretty hard. You can get rockets, grenades, and stuff like that. And the controls aren't very responsive, especially jump, which doesn't help, considering this is a platformer. Overall this game wasn't very fun. You might like it, but I didn't.
