5.0 out of 5 stars Tough Shojo for girls tired of soft fluffy drama., August 11, 2007
This review is from: Wild Adapter Volume 2 (v. 2) (Paperback)
The english release for Wild Adapter 1 is, for some reason, not listed on Amazon. Anyway, this story uses the 2 main characters of an old 2-shot series called "Shiritsu Araiso Koutou Gakkou Seitokai Shikkoubu" & plays on lots of gay jokes (even more than Saiyuki does). Like all of Minekura's characters, they bear a heavy resemblance to someone in another series of hers. Take Saiyuki's Sanzo, glue a pair of glasses to his face, & dye his hair black & you have yourself Makoto Kubota; the antagonizing protagonist. Hell, they even have the same hair style & chain smoking habbits). Now take Saiyuki's Goku, ditch the headband, make him look significantly older, & change all the monkey jokes into kitten jokes. Sanada lookes like Jojyo in his 50s & Saori looks like Hazel (& nothing like a girl).
